It's certainly not as badly crowded as it was a few years ago due to the recession and tourists decline. Although Nanjing Road is undoubtedly the busiest walking street in Shanghai.
@4kwalkingtravels It is very difficult to determine which channel have exaggerated too much. The ones that I watched made it felt as if this road is now empty and deserted. I got to watch more channels about the positive side and ask questions. Thank you for clarifying.

Yeah this is 6 AM in the morning just after sunrise, so there are few people. If you walk slowly on this busy street, early morning is the best time.
