A couple of things: 1) you use a lot of "dont" statements. This may be intentional- but using negative statements is unlikely to achieve the result you want- for example, if someone says "dont think of pink elephants", of course the first thing you'll think of will be pink elephants! Which is great if you want to think about them, not so great if you dont. 2) you say the word "drowning". Drowning is generally a scary thing that has negative connotations for people- not a good idea to use this sort of language when someone is in an impressionable state, especially if you arent there in person to guide someone who ends up in a bad place.
