- 2018ലെ മഹാപ്രളയത്തില്‍ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടുപോയ 25-ലധികം ആളുകളെ ഹെലികോപറ്ററില്‍ ഒറ്റ ട്രിപ്പില്‍ സകല റിസ്‌കുകളുമെടുത്ത് രക്ഷിച്ച ഒരാളുണ്ട്. നാവിക സേനാ ഹെലികോപ്റ്റര്‍ കാപ്റ്റനായിരുന്ന പി രാജ്കുമാര്‍. 2017ല്‍ ഓഖി ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് വീശിയടിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ നടുക്കടലില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയ മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ രക്ഷകനായും അദ്ദേഹം കോപ്റ്റര്‍ പറപ്പിച്ചെത്തി. ഈ വിശിഷ്ട സേവനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് രാജ്യം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നവ്‌സേനാ മെഡലും ശൗര്യചക്രയും നല്‍കി ആദരിച്ചു. ശത്രുരാജ്യങ്ങളയക്കുന്ന മുങ്ങിക്കപ്പലുകളെ ഹെലികോപ്റ്ററില്‍ പറന്ന് തുരത്തുന്ന ദൗത്യവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൈകളില്‍ ഭദ്രമായിരുന്നു എന്നും. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ നാവികസേനയുടെ അസാധാരണമായ രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സാരഥ്യം വഹിച്ച കാപ്റ്റന്‍ പി രാജ്കുമാര്‍ സര്‍വ്വീസ് സ്‌റ്റോറിയില്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
