      @@makhina8839 In anime games the turns last forever. Whiff punishing might be more important in anime games because there's less neutral, and in most of them, if you counterhit someone twice it's ggs. There are more whiff punishes in a round of sf, but that also translates to there being more opportunities in a sf neutral. To me it would be like saying spacing traps aren't important to a street fighter player, just because it occurs less.

    This just makes me wonder why there isn't a hitbox viewer just in the game's training mode without mods being needed. This would go such a long way on helping people understand their toolkit and WHY some things work or don't work when trying to build a game plan or learn matchups.

      @@leorickaldana366 I was more specifically referring to SF6. The game seems to be trying to go out of it's way to give the player as many tools as possible to understand the game more if you're willing to use the training mode and replays, but there's still no hitbox viewer, which would go such a long way in allowing players to independently come to conclusions on how they should answer opponent tools.

    instead of giving up and just saying it's stupid you go find someone who is a great player that plays the character you are having troubles with
    he helps you understand what is happening and what you might be able to do to help with that problem

    One of Marisa's less obvious strengths is that her big unga looking moves have relatively low recovery for how far she's able to extend. Like I mentioned on the other vid her 5MK is really good, for similar reasons as 5HK, tho the reward isn't as high. That spacing trap idea is particularly powerful for her because she looks like she should be forfeiting the neutral when she tosses these moves out.

    Being a longtime SF player getting into strive for my first GG game a major complaint I’ve had is the design around normals and recovery. Reason for this as team RED described they’re decision on Strive was to slow the game down, focusing it on footsies per say With added air recovery and less air movement but footsies are quite frustrating most the time as there is not enough recovery on normals. With most of them covering large amounts of screen space and disjointed in actuality it just doesn’t make sense to me. I think moving forward they need to decide what they want for the game, either speeding it up altogether like previous entries or committing to making it more footsie based like SF.

    • @acecun6202
      @acecun6202 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      GG like SF has functioned roughly the same for a decade. Just because you’re used to SF doesn’t mean an Anime fighter like Guilty Gear should adjust to be more like it lol GG and strive in general have a very specific way of playing that’s exclusive to ArcSys games in general lol

Please read moving forward as it’s a waste of my time and yours.

    • @acecun6202
      @acecun6202 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@BrowneVisuals You’re speaking as a casual who most likely doesn’t play GG in the slightest of you played ANY GG other than strive hell even Rev2 you would understand that they DID slow the game down and that the game is more footsies based. Do you even know what footsies are? Cause the way you’re talking about it doesn’t make sense footsies is just neutral and JWong would tell you the same thing and there’s plenty of neutral in Strive Nago is a key character when it comes to neutral and spacing. So yeah once again you’re just wanting GG to play like SF and they’re each their own stand alone franchise with decades of experience between them.
