This is 2 places now where I've heard Ari say Cohen is selling anti-trump merch. It's not him, it's Meidas Touch. MT has confirmed it. I'm disappointed with Ari. He's usually better than this.

Likewise. This ineptitude seems to be a firmly established pattern among Trump's defense teams.
One of the ways that Trump has been successful in the past is at implied threat, so that in case of doubt people may feel inclined to think that Trump has some kind of trick up his sleeve. He doesn't, but it can still be an effective scare tactic in daily life.
It's not so effective in court. Legal proceedings are sober and methodical by design. The court is a finder of fact, not a finder of drama, and there is very little opportunity for a big reveal by the defense at the eleventh hour. The process of discovery minimizes those kinds of surprises.
This also explains why so much of what Trump attempts is to sow chaos OUTSIDE of the court. As a malignant narcissist, he is no friend of due process or the rule of law. He has contempt for the court, not just for its authority but for its existence. So he cannot allow himself to take the proceedings seriously, and this means his lawyers are not encouraged to do so either. That's reason for their lack of effort.
I don't know much about grift. It's not my world. But it stands to reason that a really competent grifter can turn it on or off as the situation warrants. But Trump is not that kind of grifter. He can't turn it off to save his life, any more than he can turn off his narcissism. It's a severe disadvantage in court to present as a grifter, to direct a defense as a grifter thinks it should be played.

There need to be corroborating evidence for intent. It doesn’t need to be physical though- so that fact that Trump, after ignoring Stormy for years needed to fix that then and there, before the election is pretty strong- there are lots of people saying this not just Cowen.

These were the defence's accusations that Ari is repeating. I hope the Prosecution fact checks this on the follow up.
