The marked up prices are crazy lol. OP01 will eventually get reprinted just like in Asia. If you're selling OP01 singles, you want to sell now before reprint
It already has been reprinted multiple times and the price is still inflated. My local has a heap of product but no one buys it because its at 2x retail

Yeah but they’re most likely Japanese versions. You can only play using the English version with the exception of some local tournaments

its STILL like this - besides maybe getting your hands on a black structure deck. However you need a LOT of OP-02 cards to make it playable
Yeah that s**t is true, the boosters are ridiculously expensive the next set is a bit cheaper but not by much

Thankfully my lgs has been able to get starter decks in, charge retail and we are building a nice community!

Scalpers are bad, but what’s even worse are game stores that are trying to make the same profit by overpricing goods - sucks that it happens in all tcg games
The same happened to me at my LGS. I should've bought a case of boosters when the 1st set released for like $70-80 a box. I didn't think the game was gonna last tbh. But , After playing it recently and experiencing how well designed it is and fun to play, I realized I made a gross misjudgment.
It isn't popular though, especially for that stupid mark up price. A lot of shops don't even run game days and even less shops run game days for it

I feel that they need to make make boxes. If you don't want to look for singular packs or spend 150 plus on a booster box, than they should make more traditional styled boxes. For an example just look at how pokemon does it.
At least they got the boxes, every place I got only has the starter decks

Had a similar experience the other day … still want to get into it but didn’t know it’s $40 minimum just to get a viable starter deck, plus extra cost of building it up

. My ability to get any of the next two box sets are pretty much going to determine whether I keep attempting to play the game competitively or if I'm only going to just keep it as a fun game to play with my daughters and friends only
Boxes going for 130 online, even at 130 its crazy. Yugioh is half the price to get into.

I had to go to two different stores to get my st-01 and st-08 luffy decks. Even my LGS doesn’t even have any OP chaf. It’s insane.
$90 a box with market price it jumped to $300+ and they still tax too?

You want to invest in the BLUE BOTTOM OP1 booster box. Those are the most rare and will be worth a fortune, and cannot be reprinted. The blue bottom was the first print ever and they fixed the issues and rereleased it with a white bottom. The blue bottom is now selling for over $1,000. I have one and will keep it sealed for YEARS.

Lucky I bought two green starters for cheap. But prices too crazy. It's a throw off to want to invest. Too expensive. They are stupid if they think I'm paying 300 for a booster box that's only worth 90 most

Been playing for over a year and still can’t find cards I have pieced together some starter decks but in order for them to be competitive I’m gonna have to order single cards that aren’t cheap
Its like getting into the anime too high of an investment
I legitimately understand this, I got into the game just 2 weeks ago and it was HARD to get any product or packs, I was lucky to find out ST-10 came out 1 week ago, so I was able to buy 2 and use them, been playing at my LGS and getting packs that way and met people who sell their's singles. So I am just lucky I suppose but yea OPTCG is heavily under printed.

I was very lucky and got op05 box for $100. All the online prices were saying about 160 at the time. Now I'm trying to have a very lackluster enel team. Really don't want to spend over $200 on cards just to make the team good. The price for these cards are stupidly insane

This game is going to die out quickly like Super. When you have over 1000 episodes, you're a fresh new game and youre already printing out cards from the most recent Arc, is just a recipe for a quick kill.
This dude tried to sell you a booster box for $300 that’s thievery! My card shop has them for days, $5 a pack! Limited five packs a day.
