Nandy are bangali people i think... said that north was busy fighting and saving India from invades for 1000s of years... almost all temples got destroyed in that process. so its normal for north indians to lack knowledge... Nepal, Assam, Tibet and South India experienced invasions but to a lesser degree

The repeated islamic invasions which the North had to face led to some destruction and dilution of these tantric practices which the South could keep intact mostly for which I think I as a South Indian would always be grateful. By the way the greatest tantric and dharmic knowledge was in ancient Kashmir which was lost due to Islamic invasions

Doesn't work that way. An anushthanam is like an official contract, and a contract made with a deity cannot be broken. Even if you're given forgiveness, you're still supposed to complete what's promised.
This kinda bizarre thinking not based on any kinda spiritual experience but simply pulled out of thin air cause it makes one feel good has what put Hinduism in such a lurch.

I really liked point he mention in Upasana - "It is not like task to be completed. It is something you do wilfully with joy. Then only you will enjoy and sustain till the end. Agree 💯। Deities tested Lord Ram when he was doing his saadhna beofre fighting Ravana when war was at a climax and Lord was near to a defeat। Maa Shakti tested him and stole last lotus flower of the offering and then Rama remebered that his mother called him Rajeev eyes, which means lotus eyes। Rama took ho daggar and moved to extract one of his eyes to offer as last flower of worship, then Maa Shakti appeared and blessed him with victory। He defeated Ravana!

For her sake Karnataka was free from the extremely violent conversion Catholicism of Portugal . Goa wasn’t so lucky .

When he talked about Sri Aurobindho and his books, I was reminded of another book, which is Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev's "Mystic Musings".....I guess, Sadhguru himself had talked about it that if you go through certain pages of that book, or happen to read that book, then some fundamental changes may take place in your life...He hasn't mentioned the pages, so you have to go through the entire book....In my experience it is very true, I didn't know, when I was reading it long back in 2013....More than that, his unfathomable wisdom and unbeatable logic is overwhelming for a good many of us...My pranams..
I too have read his book , there is something different about his books , sometimes it gets overwhelming (not intellectually). Don't know what is that but I'm sure lot many would have felt that too.

This is so nice. When Nandy ji said that he got some blows by unknown guys and a person gave him srikrishna Prasad reminds me an incident in the life of great haridasa of Karnataka 'Sri Kanakadasa'. Even he was also beaten up by the servants of the king but lord srikrishna turned his idol/ image in the Famous Udupi temple towards Kanakadasa.

Ranveer you are doing meditation from years and you dont know the words upasana, homa. Even 10th standard boy knows this. It becomes bit irritating when you interrupt for these words while important discussion is going on.

its natural to feel pull towards Krishna when we are trying yogi lifestyle. he is called Yogeshwar =(yogi+ishwar) the yogi god. another his name is Yogesh(yogi+isha) the god of yoga
Depends on which type of yoga u are talking about. If it is Bhaktiyoga or karmayoga Krishna holds prominence. Shiva is associated with jnana yoga, Rajayoga and Tantra

I somehow agree with the first few mins- Recently my own niece had turned 1.5 yrs, was not able to walk on his own. My mom promised an offering to a local temple few months back, but could not make it happen for diff reasons. Last to last week we visited the temple made the offering done on a friday. Next day he started walking and sometimes running even. I still do not know is it a coincident or Miracle.

I think the options were (i) Gyanyoga (Clear water makes our reflection where we can look inside ourselves), (ii) Karmayoga (we need to clean the water and on doing so we could attain Siddhi).

This is so true, you see he said if you know only Krishna then u don't know anything, I was in Krishna conscious and later had to move on but my primary Pooja was for him but my way even suggested me with other deities, where again the end was Krishna only.

I tried to do a sankalp to Hanuman ji it was of bhramacharya and I didn't define a time and I didn't define what I wanted to achieve from the sankalp, and after I failed and broke the sankalp I fell sick for a few months. I'm grateful that nothing major happened or if something like this happened I didn't notice it. I know now what to do when I want to do a sankalp or any higher sadhana please please don't make the same mistake I made
