I have been following you for more than a year and I'll apply for UK universities in 23 fall. Good to get suggestions and spirit from your videos. Good luck !
@@MarioFabelo The AL result in s23 was staggering, so firstly I need to retake my CS next month. I predicted there would be two A* but there will only be at most 1 today. My interests are on Phy and Cs and my tutor advices me to apply for engineering in Manchester or University of Edinburgh, which the requirements are 3As
@@chrisli2309 That sounds like you’re going to smash those A Levels!! Manchester or Edinburgh seem really good unis! I had always wanted to apply to Edinburgh or St Andrews but then Brexit happened and now I’m luckily in Dublin 😃

Omg thanks a ton! For someone who is planning to apply to Trinity after A-levels, this video was extremely useful!❤ Although what scared me was that you had 4As and they rejected you in the first place, why bruh😭now i feel scared and tensed about whether i can make it or not😭😭
You’ll be fine! If I ended up entering… also, CAO points are decreasing from now on after the inflation caused by the pandemic. This year I would have got in first round but yeah. It’s fine! Just focus on smashing those A Level exams 👊🏻😄
Great video but I have one question: Were A levels hard? Cause I am also an internatinal student and we don't have A levels in our school and it kind of frightened me when I saw that with almost perfect academic results you still got rejected. That just sounds unjust
The difficulty of A Levels probably depends on the subjects and quantity chosen. I chose all 3 STEM subjects (Chem, Phys, Maths) along with Spanish 1st Language and forced myself to choose Further Maths and sit the exams even if we had just one class per week and I didn’t go hardcore into it, which I should have done to achieve B, A or A*. I was unlucky in some aspects. First, it was just out of the pandemic; grade inflation in Ireland was astronomical compared to A Levels that had forced general decrease in grades to counteract the inflation. Therefore, with the points I got from 4A’s (531). As an EU student that has to apply through CAO which is based on grades only, I had a big disadvantage that year. Just a year later, the points for the First CAO Round were below my 531. If I had applied the later year I would have been accepted straight away. Then, there was also a part of my own exam performance. I did well but the fact that we had a new Physics teacher in Y13 probably influenced in me not reaching the A* and then I was just very unlucky with Spanish, getting an 88% instead of a 90% and not even getting a 90% on the remark. But well, two years later I can’t even imagine how I went through all that and still made it.
I applied as an EU student so I had to do it through the CAO for Irish and EU students. If you are international then you apply directly to Trinity through their website I think. Here is the website for all the possible scholarships: www.tcd.ie/study/international/scholarships/undergraduate/ You should try to reach out to Trinity Global to ask about this! They will know way more than I do!
Sorry I have a question… how did you do the application for both trinity and ucd ? As far as I know you can do 1 application per year… could you explain me this part?
@@MarioFabelo ok ! So I can apply at CAO to, for example, 2 courses at the trinity and at 2 courses at the UCD, right? I’m from Italy so I’m an UE student, too.
@@michelazardini8432 yeah! You can definitely have as many courses as you want (up to 10) from the same uni on your CAO list. But be aware that the order of preference is important. The first and highest offer on the list will be the only one that you receive on first round (if you receive one) and you’ll be somewhat forced to take that one
