I think Identity V is turning more and more into a horror game, even if the game itself isn't really scary the backstories are shockingly sad, and they also reflect a darker side of the society.
This story was so sad to me how she was locked in the asylum and couldn’t do anything but sculpt things. I also really like her voice it’s so creepy but so amazing at the same time!

A mysterious wealthy businessman invited her to his house to make a statue of him. Galatea went there as an appointment and nobody knew about her journey. After what happened, Galatea returned, exploding with a strong desire for creation and a dazzling sculpting talent. It seemed that her family was very happy, but gradually, they found out that Galatea often talked to the statues as if they were alive. One night, Galatea's father discovered that his daughter was talking to the statue. Her enraged father picked up the statue and threw it off the terrace. Galatea jumped down along with it without hesitation, causing her to be hemiplegic. Her family thought Galatea was crazy so they sent her to a mental asylum. However, Galatea's condition didn't improve. She's beginning to refuse to communicate with living people. She would take everything out that could be sculpted at her hand, carve out the same face and name this face after her own name. The hospital arranged her in a remote yard, leaving only a female nurse to look after her. One day, the nursing staff did not go to the main building to report Galatea's recent situation to the doctor as per usual. The doctor went to the yard to check and found out that Galatea was nowhere to be found and only a complete "masterpiece" was left in the ward.

IanOwOBoi exactly! a lot of the hunters have terrible, tragic backstories which makes you feel for them, so sculptor’s backstory lets you see her as more of a monster-a hunter-and as a result much more terrifying since her actions aren’t exactly as justified. still love her very dearly and i can’t wait to see her in game

Just a bit of info I know: So this doesn’t have much to do with her character, AND THEY ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON, but Galatea in Greek mythology was a sculpture made by Pygmalion, a famous sculptor. He would spend days and weeks making sculptures of women, but Greek women had to stay entirely still while he sculpted them. One day, he got distracted by a ever so slight smile one of the women showed, and broke his whole sculpture of her. He got so frustrated that we blocked himself off from society. As time went on, he eventually wanted to sculpt again, and started working on “the perfect women”. After a long time, she was finished, and Pygmailion named her Galatea. He quickly fell in love with her, and brought her food and clothing. He wanted so much for her to be flesh and bone, so he prayed to the god every night. Eventually, he caught the attention of the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. After talking to the other gods, they agreed to bless Pygmalion, and make Galatea real. You can look up more info on this story if you’d like, I just thought it was an interesting connection with her being a sculptor.

Its not competitively viable, its a map that needs specific characters to play on it to work rather than being balanced for every other character. For example: The map is in the shape of a maze, Chairs are too far apart, making it difficult for survivors to save and for hunters to find a chair. (There's literaly only one rocket chair in the long prison hallway area.) If this map isnt badly designed I dont know what it is.
this just a theory what her traits might be 1. from the statue I feel like she might make the survivors freeze for a couple of seconds and then she could hit them 2. she might have like a smiley face kind of thing where she makes the sculpture of the survivor she wants to freeze, just like Smiley face as he makes the rocket 3. to be honest, she might have a bit more speed than the rest of the hunters because of her wheelchair so she might be a bit faster these are just theorys everyone so I don't know a lot about her

I'm trying to figure out what her backstory is like, okay so here's what I thought of this: She was living a pretty much ordinary life until she suddenly was being put into an asylum, which turned her mentally insane causing her insanity to kill her. Edit: I watched the video again, and I think the sculpture wasn't actually Galatea, it was one of the workers at the asylum, and somehow she escaped. I'm like making a mess of texts- That's what I thought of when I see the visuals and the captions. I am really interested on character's backstories I just feel like they should have some love too aside from appearance, and skills of the hunters and survivors

Okay so it's obvious she was in the White Sand Street Asylum for a bit, so amazing connection to the maps. Perhaps this map might benefit her? The doctor might be Emily so she might have a connection to the Doctor as well... But did anyone else notice how the sculpture kind-of looks like Joseph? It might just be the ponytail and white hair.

The creepy thing is that netease be bringing alot of there hunters from urban legends folklore and alot of other stories there's and urban legend like this where a girl was in need of help so her parents had her put in an asylum. She then murdered a nurse and carved of all of her skin then she escaped that night and earned herself alot of names but I forgot what the story was called I read alot urban legends😅
I have a recomendation for a new hunter! Hunter: Witch Real Name: Constance Odette (I got it from a website) Ability: Bond Constance can perform bond rituals between two survivors. If Constance injures a bonded survivor, the survivor they are bonded with will take the damage but will have time before they go into the next state. (Like Borrowed Time) If she puts a bonded survivor on a rocket chair, the bond is broken but they will be downed and there location will be revealed. However, that downed survivor will be able to revive themselves without the help of another survivor. I can't decide traits for her so this is all I provided.
what an ominous description lol this was definitely a nice return to form in terms of the horror genre, its fun to see the white sand asylum map in its operating days. I wonder if they plan on having other white sand asylum characters being involved in her story- though this paints a more "isolated" image between the inpatients.
okay for anyone curious about her ability, it’s basically this. (idk if this is confirmed or not). there will be statues but ever cypher machine on the map. the statues have four phases: sleep, awake, smiling, and chase. if you allow a statue to reach the chase stage, it will hit you. once you are hit the statue will return and reset to the sleeping phase. this process is sped up by decoding and healing. (When the statue hits you, her main body isn’t alerted to your location). i’m pretty sure you can also reset the process of the statue moving but idk. this is the phases explained in more detail. Sleeping: eyes closed and posed. Awake: New post, eyes closed. Smiling: eyes open, smiling, looking at nearest survivor. Chase: statue has left its pedestal and is chasing a survivor. it will hit you.

this is so amazing she’s probably one of my favorite hunters
I'm trying to figure out what her backstory is like, okay so here's what I thought of this:
She was living a pretty much ordinary life until she suddenly was being put into an asylum, which turned her mentally insane causing her insanity to kill her.
Edit: I watched the video again, and I think the sculpture wasn't actually Galatea, it was one of the workers at the asylum, and somehow she escaped. I'm like making a mess of texts-
That's what I thought of when I see the visuals and the captions. I am really interested on character's backstories I just feel like they should have some love too aside from appearance, and skills of the hunters and survivors
For those wondering or not knowing, she comes out to test servers this Friday or Saturday, then they will be releasing it for the CN server then the NA/EU. Second essence is her release.

Okay so it's obvious she was in the White Sand Street Asylum for a bit, so amazing connection to the maps. Perhaps this map might benefit her? The doctor might be Emily so she might have a connection to the Doctor as well... But did anyone else notice how the sculpture kind-of looks like Joseph? It might just be the ponytail and white hair.
The character is cool and all but i wish they would talk more about how everything ties together

She then murdered a nurse and carved of all of her skin then she escaped that night and earned herself alot of names but I forgot what the story was called I read alot urban legends😅

Real Name: Constance Odette (I got it from a website)
Ability: Bond
Constance can perform bond rituals between two survivors. If Constance injures a bonded survivor, the survivor they are bonded with will take the damage but will have time before they go into the next state. (Like Borrowed Time) If she puts a bonded survivor on a rocket chair, the bond is broken but they will be downed and there location will be revealed. However, that downed survivor will be able to revive themselves without the help of another survivor.
I can't decide traits for her so this is all I provided.

this was definitely a nice return to form in terms of the horror genre, its fun to see the white sand asylum map in its operating days. I wonder if they plan on having other white sand asylum characters being involved in her story- though this paints a more "isolated" image between the inpatients.

okay for anyone curious about her ability, it’s basically this. (idk if this is confirmed or not). there will be statues but ever cypher machine on the map. the statues have four phases: sleep, awake, smiling, and chase. if you allow a statue to reach the chase stage, it will hit you. once you are hit the statue will return and reset to the sleeping phase. this process is sped up by decoding and healing. (When the statue hits you, her main body isn’t alerted to your location). i’m pretty sure you can also reset the process of the statue moving but idk. this is the phases explained in more detail. Sleeping: eyes closed and posed. Awake: New post, eyes closed. Smiling: eyes open, smiling, looking at nearest survivor. Chase: statue has left its pedestal and is chasing a survivor. it will hit you.
its so funny to me how complex everyone thought it would be but she literally just uses the status like a chip hunter would
