wrath of cortex was my first crash bandicoot game and christmas in 2004 was my happy when i opened this as it was christmas gift
This was the beginning of the whole non linear platforming structure of Crash Bandicoot, and it was good! I would rrrrrealllllllllyyyyyy like to play this, poor Crash Bandicoot. His franchise had to go mediocrity after this, I heard that Crash Of The Titan's was okay. But honestly even though I never played that either, it looks generic and dull.. And some of the voice acting I've heard while seeing some of it's scenes were not that great. But hey! Maybe the game play is okay, still it looks like I just said generic and dull.
i played it. it was fun but when playing it didnt feel like crash at all. it was different gameplay. in crash of the titans you dont break boxes and get peaches you get this weird slime stuff and kill monsters known in the game as titans. they messed it all up. i didnt get much gameplay from crash mutants cuz i play it for 15 mins and got soooooooooooooooooooooooo board.
★ ww2sniper555 ★ Some guys say that Crash Bandicoot taking the open wide free roaming structure was something smart of the non Sony programmer's to do, I think the series should take this way of it's adventure content honestly. As much as I love the PlayStation trilogy, even liking The Wrath Of Cortex a lot. (I never finished it though.) They were linear and if the series continued to take that root, it would be sort of lazy and nothing really innovating if you think about it. A little bit of video gaming fans I talked to even think's that the early adventure platforming titles of Crash Bandicoot with the linear content was something they thought were nothing special. I really think if Crash Bandicoot comes back (Hopefully.), his games should be free roaming and not mostly just straight.

Jan Vlach just because it’s different it’s stupid? Crash Bandicoot linear is a bit dated, so it’s good that the game changed it around a bit. Sometimes this game is a bit silly. However it’s still ok.
I thought this game was massively underrated and imo brilliant, but also quite challenging and most of the deaths were quite cheap which was one thing I disliked most about it, like if you lost all of your lives you had to restart at the last golden check point box which were spaced quite far apart in sections of the game, brilliant story and gameplay though and the humour is so funny and 4th walla lines :L

no shadows? jeez, i know the PS2 wasnt the most powerful system at the time, but im sure it could handle a fricking shadow! ._.
***** oh, the shadows are due to graphical glitches... i was very confused as to the shadows or lack of, i was about to call the devs out on lazy optimization! xD
+yoyoyoshio267 It really stinks that the emulator cannot have shadows, its actually really difficulty to play it without shadows.
Anyone know the name of te ps2 game ( it was on a demo disc ) about a rabbit chained to a guinnie pig or squirrel that escaped a testing lab? Something like that i cant remember the name! Please help

It is called Whiplash yeah it's a weasel attached to a small white rabbit :P looks quite cool, never played it myself though
