Everyone else except Chuu and Yves are under a company called CTDENM. Yves has decided to go solo herself and is looking for a company atm. Chuu is as usual doing her own thing under her company ATRP. The founder of CTD was also a previous director of BBC’s planning division and is basically an orbit so collabs later on might not be too out of reach 🙏
All the girls also readily hang out. All of 1/3 was at the OEC showcase and all of YYXY hung out recently too.
Kim Lip also said at their showcase that they would like to all come back but BBC still owns the name to LOONA and TBH the girls need to heal from the trauma that BBC inflicted on them.
That also doesn't remove the possibility of LOONA reuniting despite being under different companies, similar to Wheein still being in MAMAMOO after leaving their company, RBW.

ctd even follows artms social accounts. they keep calling themselves "members" and that they are LOONA ✨
Correction: 05 girls are under CTD Ent. 05 are under Modhaus (Heejin, OEC Girls + Haseul), Yves and Chuu go solo. I can see Modhaus en CTDENM working together to bring 10 of the girls together not under the name Loona but under the Artemis Project. But (for me) I don't think Yves/Chuu are coming back. One thing is them being friends, other thing is business and what they want for ther career.

they've kept true to odd eye circle's sound in loona so much I nearly cried listening to this album for the first time. Especially the intro track with little snippets of their old music. One of the best albums of the year, no skips.
The one aspect of OG LOONA that is missing from "Air Force One" is digipedi. Their production and staging of the MVs was a big part of the LOONA image, and while this MV is good, it doesn't have that digipedi style. No idea why they weren't involved with this comeback, but they are missed!
The time was probably so short for digipedi's team to prepare for
Maybe because of budget. Digipedi cost more since they're very established production company. And I don't think OEC got the same budget like TripleS since TripleS is Modhaus main project. But I think if the album sales is good maybe they will back to Digipedi for future release.
@@JesseJamesPigon Very possible, although considering digipedi had stopped doing LOONA MVs after "PTT"/"Hula Hoop" there could be other reasons such as budget or scheduling conflicts.
@@Levi-bn2xp Budget is a REAL possibility, especially if the request was short notice and would have required digipedi changing an already-planned schedule. Plus Modhaus didn't have plans or budget for ANY of this at the start of the year - TripleS was their entire focus until HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul and Choerry escaped BlockBerry and convinced Jaden that they could continue their career at Modhaus. It's something of a minor miracle that the company has been able to do as much as they have on such short notice while not putting TripleS on the back burner. One has to imagine that a HUGE chunk of Jaden's attention since April has been lining up additional funding to take advantage of the opportunity that ARTMS offers.
@@Levi-bn2xp Jaden hasn't worked with Digipedi since leaving BBC. One of their directors has mentioned before that they didn't like working with him so I think they may have had a falling out or something. Maybe if fans want it enough they'll bring them back but as of right now if anyone's gonna use Digipedi it'll be CTDENM (if they can afford it)
It's worth noting that at the showcase Lip emphasized that Loona isn't disbanded and that they're leaving the possibility of full group activities open. They just wouldn't have the rights to use 이달의소녀. Whether that's possible to change or not, how ARTMS and now CTD are continuing to use Loona-esque branding/imagery, it's kind of obvious that the intent is to reunite some day.
Every groups said that sadly after they're in different agencies 😅 just pr talk. The way ctd trademarking name orbit made me question things lol
@@Alveolus1023 this is an overly pessimistic view IMO. In lieu of more info I'm trusting what members say as of now. I can't imagine why they'd sign contracts that wouldn't allow it or join companies that would prefer to hamstring eachother instead working together. It's to no ones benefit and they have to be aware of that . They saw what Orbits did to Blockberry when they fucked around and found out.
Yep, I trust them more, the girls and ceos did a lot of research. Modhaus managed to trademark OEC and CTD is trying to trademark ORBIT, and the girls never stopped calling us Orbits.
Like PD said, ARTMS is a very smart choice considering it relates to the Moon and carries pretty much the same meaning as Loona (one is greek, the other latin lol).
Also, 1/3 being half-half in ctd and modhaus gives us enough hope for future activities.
My only concern is yyxy, Chuu is solo, Hyeju and Gowon in ctd, and Yves is still wandering... We don't even know how Yves feels about future projects.
@@Miraiana yeah we can't really know about yyxy but I think of Chuu being kicked out not being her choice and how she's still close to everyone. She's already signed to a company that was open to her keeping group activities elsewhere and tbh she has power over them instead of the other way around IMO. With Yves it's not clear either, but given time and an ideal opportunity I'd be surprised if she declined. She still calls us orbits and the girls her members.

I have to agree that while I've absolutely loved the newer LOONA stuff as well, this sound is what originally drew me in and it gives a nice sense of nostalgia along with the already great song (and album!)
I think the filming is like that because the story of this mv is basically how OEC formed loona in the past. the table in eden, gowon's crown, haseul's car and so on. it's like showing the process of how they influenced the other members in the past MV's

Do not miss the album 'Version Up' because it shows the great evolution of OEC but also because it hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in more than 20 regions globally. Another consecutive record for our unstoppable moongirls.
BTW, the main plot of this MV is about the legal defeat of the BBC execs by LOONA members; We discrown you (beginning) . . . but, after defeating you (Kim Lip fight), we throw you back the crown because we don’t need it anymore (end).
Apart, for me J. Jeong intends to bring LOONA back together. That's why the name 'ARTMS' as it refers to NASA's 'Artemis' project to return and colonize the moon. Also, did you notice on the MV the colonies’ spotlights on the moon (2:16) and Yves's bitten apple (2:17), possibly implying talks with Yves still free to sign?
As five of the girls are already in MODHAUS and another five have signed with Yoon Do Yeon's CTD E&M, Jeong's former BBC and SM mate, the roadmap to gather the OT12 seems shorter and feasible as both companies could sign a win-win collaboration agreement. Chuu also could well reach a similar agreement with MODHAUS and CTD E&M.
Finally, it's clear that J. Jeong retains rights over many things from the pre-debut era and probably up to the X X album release; This explains why he can use the OEC name, and the girls can promote their new album using songs from the original OEC like: Girl Front or Loonatic. So, all that remains is to negotiate with BBC too to be able to exploit the LOONA brand and perhaps, why not, its entire discography and contents, since this would mean fresh incomes for BBC as well.
Just to add, Artemis in the mythology is the goddess related to the moon and twin sister of Apollo, which is why NASA must have named the project to return to moon. She is also the proctector of animals, hunting and women, maybe Modhaus thought about that to renaming the group
I highly doubt any yyxy member would sign with Modhaus, considering what JJ put them through
From what I've read, BBC only trademarked certain names, like "이달의소녀" and "이달의소녀 Odd Eye Circle", but not variations of those names, such as simply "Odd Eye Circle". That's why Modhaus was able to trademark "Odd Eye Circle" (both its hangul and English readings) and use it for the group.
I doubt BBC would negotiate with anything reasonable considering how petty they have been over these past few years, so I think it's worth it for the girls and their new agencies to cut some of the losses and move on.

I legit cried watching Air Force One! I've been an orbit for so long and Odd Eye Circle has been my favorite unit from day 1 with the group. Watching them go through SO MUCH, successfully freeing themselves from that company and rising up again still as OEC (and still talking about Loona and the members in interviews, leaving the possibilities open for the future) is just so much more than I could ever dream of. I love Loona, I love all the members and I want to see them thriving no matter in what format, so getting back to the OEC og sound and even lore with this "reboot" brought me imense joy and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for all of them. This feels like a conquest (for both them and for orbits), an old friend coming back to town to greet you and a new shiny beggining ❤💜💙
TripleS and ARTMS being in the same company feels correct, the quality it's top tier.

truee, i can confirm since i’m new to loona, i was expecting a completely different mv from the teasers but as soon as the scene started changing i knew they were full of references and then i was proved right when i opened twitter lol
Looking back at this video after Virtual Angel, it's probably the different director. It just feels quite different (?) from LOONA's filmography which 99% consists of Digipedi directed MVs.
I think regarding the tight aspect ratio, if you go back and look at the old Loona/Odd Eye Circle MVs they have a similar thing going on with a white backdrop. I suppose the black background could signify a change of some sort in the Loonaverse

Since Chuu's being treated as an outsider for BBC, we started to understand the situation and we knew this was going to be very hard, we stayed with them because we wanted to, I was so worried about Chuu at first and then at all LOONA members because if it wasn't for Chuu becoming a CF queen, a successful TH-camr and so loved and supported by many people it would've been even harder... I was so happy when they were finally free, every LOONA member is already on their new company and Yves is the only one who is doing things by herself that she wanted to try, so every member is already restarting their activities
I agree as much as I love all of Loona's music this is definitely the sound i absolutely fell in love with at first so this feels so special and makes me so happy ❤.
i’ve been wearing my loona tattoo with a lot more pride lately. so happy right now. the kpop world feels somewhat complete.
the sound that we all missed! i couldn't agree more, it's nostalgic for real. im not even an orbit but i have seen enough mvs, i have heard enough songs, and i have known their personalities that i am ready to support them wherever they will be.

It's funny how things turned out, really.
I've been a Loona fan since 2017, Jinsoul and Kim Lip were the ones who introduced me to Loona, and heck, I remember both of them being blonde I thought IT WAS THE SAME PERSON (like that meme "I thought Loona was one person, but there's a bunch of these bishes" 😂).
Anyways, I love, LOVE their old sound, especially OEC and yyxy, so when BBC decided to practically give up on all sub-unit activities after debut, I was heartbroken (as most Orbits were).
When shhh hit the fan with BBC, my only concern was the girls' health and for them not to lose hope and love for music. Now that all of them left Trashberry, I can't help but laugh at how they divided themselves.
OEC being complete in Modhaus, but 1/3 being half-half between modhaus and ctdenm, not sure if this was a strategic move, but damn, ctdenm ceo being an ex-executive like Jaden, and him following both artms and atrp, gives me enough hope that future collabs are possible.
Finally, long ago, when Loona just debuted, and we thought we might get more sub-unit activities, Orbits made "new subunits" for fun, and my only wish was for the "Scorpio unit" to come together hahaha.
Now, all 4 of them, Hyunjin, Gowon, Hyeju and Yeojin are in ctdenm, and the Loona geek inside of me can't help but see "hidden strategies" hahaha. I know I'm delulu, but aren't most Orbits. 🤡✨

5/5 split into two companies only and then Chuuves doing their own thing. Compared to other situations (for example izone, where most members were in different companies), this is very good. And also 10/12 members chose to sign with people whom they worked with in the past.

Very very nostalgic for sure! I get their aspect ratio and tight closeups the entire video....its the first video post bbc so I'm sure jj really wanted to just RE-introduce the girls and remind everyone they're back so LOTS AND LOTS of tight, cinematic, beauty shots of their faces

Everybody say, “THANK YOU MONOTREE!” They literally created LOONA’s sound and BBC was mad dumb for straying from it.
Two producers on this very EP - Artronic Waves and BADD also made many songs for Loona early on, as well as many producers that frequently worked with SM artists. People REALLY need to stop acting like Monotree was solely responsible, it's disrespectful.

They worked on the title track and 2 other tracks of the EP (half of the EP).

@@xi0 I’m not arguing that. Did you read my reply? “Title tracks are what most people associate with a group’s sound.” Title tracks are for the general public while album tracks are for the fans. Most non-fans cant name more than 5 b-sides. That’s why it’s important to establish your group’s sound through title tracks. Or you create an group identity that allows you to have varying sounds.
@@DatVideoDoe isn't that just a tree falling in the forest argument? what the average person may or may not be familiar with isn't a proper representation of an artist's identity or their body of work. Especially not with Loona, their catalogue is as diverse as it gets.
All I take exception with is attributing what people enjoyed about early Loona entirely to Monotree. Look at the liner notes, it's there for everyone to read.

All our girls are free now, and this is the level of quality that we get when they're actually in a place where they're happy. Odd Eye Circle was my favorite part of LOONA, and this met and exceeded all my expectations. I can't wait for whatever is coming next from ANY of the girls.

I hope they incorporate more of the animal & colors according to each member's lore. The Red, Blue, then Purple, Owl, Fish/Goldish/Koi/ and Bat was so iconic to me.
PD !! Can you react to KISS OF LIFE ‘Shhh’ ? I don’t know if you remember Natty from Sixteen that created Twice. But after debuting solo she’s now debuted in a group. They’ve debuted with solos from each member (4) and two group songs a b-side and a title.

air force one is such a CRAZY upbeat song, however the mv is lacking dynamic and interactive editing (which is loona's signature while still working w digipedi.) that it feels like something is missing. we have another example like 'star' and 'flip that' mv.
now this mv isn't that bad either. the quality is very good and movie-like, also loving the color grading. if they use this format as the performance version it would be very good actually.
i hope modhaus would choose digipedi as artms' main mv director in the future. even if it's not digipedi, i wish they'll find someone who can understand that loona's signature mv style and able to produce it that way👍🏻

@@thewujustar9630 Digipedi did pretty much every LOONA MV up through "Paint The Town" and "Hula Hoop". They didn't produce "Flip That" or "Luminous" (and we don't know who produced & directed the MV for "Free'sm", which we will probably never see…)

i think the tight aspect ratio has to do with the loona lore in some way, maybe a hint of the members covering their odd eye, which in aspects relates to their limited vision when one eye is covered or something along those lines~
