- Dance music is big business across Europe. In Berlin, club tourism brings in three million party-goers annually and recently the city’s techno scene has been recognized as part of Germany’s tradition inherited from previous generations, now preserved for generations to come. It’s a move campaigners hope one day might ultimately see it recognised by the UN. Lucrezia Millarini travelled to the capital to explore how the techno scene has shaped Berlin and the challenges that threaten its future.
