Gripster a Jamming Suction Cup That Can Grip Corners and Odd Shapes

This is Gripster - a suction cup designed to grip not just smooth, flat surfaces, but awkward ones too. It uses vacuum jamming to create the lip of a suction cup and then vacuum in the internal chamber to suck onto objects. It can be used for grabbing large odd shaped objects. And for gripping to walls.

I did eventually find a research paper with a very similar rig to mine, but there base is not flexible. And they use a rigid suction cup.
