This brings back great memories of childhood; we used to "harvest" persimmons every year from a nearby farm, make the pulp (with our "assembly line") and bake our traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas Persimmon cakes with it. Yum!!! It's been years since I've made a persimmon cake because I won't do it with store-bought pulp - I made that mistake ONCE.

Thank you Lacy and mike for this video, this video bring’s back memories of me and my father on hunting trip’s that we took when I was younger . I didn’t no about persimmon pudding but I interested in the recipe. I am 57 years young and my dad was born in 1913,l .know that it was really hard work growing up under him and trying to get and education at the same time, because they didn’t believe in wasting a moment of day.We grew up growing everything that we ate.I learned everything that I could when trying time’s come l trust in God and think back on my ability of all that my parents taught me growing up. It is so wonderful to see that there is still grandma and grandpa teaching their grandchildren today,it is so,so wonderful.l love your all’s video’s and seeing your beautiful children as they are growing up.May God continue to bless you and your family.

When I was visiting a friend in Missouri, she mixed peach puree with a little ginger and cinnamon, molasses, salt, pepper, and cayenne, a small carton of sour cream, and used it to glaze a slow roasted pork butt. You dont use the glaze till the roast is cooked all through, or it burns and scorches,, of course. But say the last 10 or 15 minutes, watching closely, mop on the layers of glaze and cook 5 minutes before adding more. I think it would be just as tasty with that persimmon puree.

You can further dry them out in exterior sewed on to another in a chain. And will you prune the tree? I think if it is too tall it’s difficult to harvest them and it’s better to make it more compact so the production is lower but the quality is far better.
