I wouldn’t say this album is her best album, kick iii and her self title album are the best in my opinion, love seeing your reaction to the Kick albums!
personally the experimental and abrasive abrupt nature to her songs and albums is what makes arca so special to me. definitely not for everyone but it is heaven to me and makes me wanna dance or cry lol
If you want a break from the kick series You should instead listen to Arca’s self titled album (Arca lol) I think you might enjoy the majority of the songs on that one since most of the songs you have liked from her are very similar to the ones on that album
this kick is the least replayable for me besides the first few tracks. I immediately didn't vibe with the rest of the album, but I did end up coming back to and appreciating tracks like Arana, Munecas, and Lethargy. Kick iii is my favorite just because it completely matches the tagline of the album series, "if it feels oppressive, kick against it." I think the tagline also contextualizes why some of the songs are so abrasively loud and queer.

I feel like you’re not getting the vibe she’s trying to evoke, which is totally okay, I just don’t think you will fully enjoy anything from her kicks era ‘cause most of the songs are made to be too much, it’s just an experimental collage of sounds that will scratch your brain, and some of love this project specifically because of that again it’s okay for you to not get it, just try a little harder to see her vision i guess?
im a BIG fan or experimental music i just think some of Arca's songs are pushing it with being too much for me, this is also my first reaction to the album and the songs so there's always a chance that some songs i didn't get at first may grow on me in the future.
