Showed this to my dream girl back in high school. Told her this was how I felt about her. “Girl you’re so fly” specifically. She liked the song and the sentiment, and we dated for a while. Got my heart broken in the end, but the song still resonates because it’s actually about a girl Gambino lost. “I wanna try again but it would just be sad.” Hits me different to this day man. Thanks Bino. People will relate to this to the end of time I feel.

Coming back to this song, is a staunch reminder, that “La vie est belle”. All your adolescent reveries will materialise, all you need do, is start believing again.

I was in sixth grade watching Community back when it aired on NBC. I looked up Donald glover online and remember finding culdesac and all the derrick comedy skits he used to do. Been following him ever since and he’s one of the only artists I haven’t had a chance to see live yet. Time flys so fast and just hoping he can do a tour again
