To everyone saying this is not UH, the reason why it looks like he is making those machines look like they're nothing is because he has "adept" weapons which I think are only available in new game+. If you look closely when he selects his weapons you'll see the 4 mod slots as opposed to the regular 3. Still a dope post! I'll be using a similar strategy when I make my run. I NEED those weapons!

*NORMAL DIFFICULTY* Finally been able to do it! 1st: I've been lucky enough to kill the first Scorcher to the left with the log piles. For the second one I used the Improved Stormslinger and Blast/Sticky bomb when KO of the ground. Don't forget to put your fire armor (Carja Blazon Master for exemple) with your best fire weaves on it! 2nd: Stay on the doorstep and just 3-shots with Hardpoint arrows the weak points of the Bellowbacks (the big sacs under their head and the one on their back obviously), they should be done in no time when the frozen effect will happens. 3nd: About the same strategy as with the Bellowbacks, try to stay as far as you can and as long as you can from the Frostclaws. Just 3-shots with Hardpoint arrows their weak points, its their shoulders and their belly. Don't forget to put your best ice armor (Banuk Ice Hunter Master for exemple) with your best ice weaves on it! If they ever come too close, use Blast/Sticky bomb or the Improved Stormslinger. A good strategy is also that when they are frozen, switch to the Rattler (non-elemental arrows) with maxed dmg using your best damage coils. It's basically a shotgun of arrows for close range! You'll see all those dmg number pop everywhere! Hope that helps!! :D
If you are struggling with the stormslinger, a very un-elegant solution is to buff a set of armour for shock protection and use shock protection potions and health buffs ...then tank it and dont worry about the feedback.

did it finally in around 3.40 on hard. used a little bit different strategy. shot the fuse on the scorchers back with sharp shot arrows or adept ice rail. you need around 500 or 600 damage to destroy it one hit. sometimes the fuse goes apehsit and sparkles around and kills the scorcher instantly. you can get passed the scorcher without even attacking you at aroum 0.50 min. for the freeze bellow back use ahrpshot bow as well and bring the freeze sack to explode. you cann kill both in aroun 0.40 min. kill the first frost claw in sneaking mode from a distance wit sharshot bow. never ever awake both of them ! for the last one you adept ropecaster fixate those sucker and send him a dozens of sticky bombs and finish it with fire forger
Completed it in exactly 4:30, got second place...fuck me right...goddamn game. Theres no way ill be able to do this as easily without the op weapons that you have

The only faster one that I saw was firing on (using a damage-making arrow, not a tear blast arrow, which does not seem to work against the log piles) and making those high log piles fall on both the frostclaws and scorchers before finishing off any of them that still were alive.
You don't need to prove you are playing on ultra hard mode because it's obvious.... Machine healthbars are invisible in ultra hard mode as they are in your video.... Anyway, great work that was amazingly professional!

hardest part of the game I've seen. can't make it past the first round of scorchers on UH but I'll have to try the sticky bombs. I've been laying like 50 blast trip wires and they do barely anything. those hunter's lodge weapons better be worth it.
Andreas S p if you have the frozenwilds dlc it becomes available after the quest you have to proove yourself to the warchief the hunting grounds should become available even if you dont pick them
greg20067 the first scorcher took me 20 secs id probaly would take more luring, iam usually a stealthy player in horizon my silent hunter outfit has 80 points stealth, when i saw this challenge details i choosed a offensive approach, u killed the first or second with log trap ?

@@williamallen7386 idk dude im playing with the same stealth armor he has and there's nothing fishy about the behavior of the machines..hes just getting the drop on them with insane damage. the enemies behaved just like that for me except my damage output was much lower thus allowing for enemy to eventually start acting crazy.

What's your gear and weapon coils? I'm guessing handling and damage for the bow but how much exactly?
