    I’m 26, $600K net worth. Been saving 50% of my salary and investing heavily. Money is a liability, not an asset. You have to exchange it for assets that represent real VALUE. Real estate - properties for rent. Stocks (dividends). Bonds (interest), funds, REITs (interest), intellectual property. Started from $0 since 3.5 years ago when I graduated college. I've come to realize that money is a tool if you don’t make money work for you, you can’t experience true freedom

      Can't give financial advice. will recommend you speak with an FA, Martha Cornell Kerns, credit to her constant advice and guidance. Lots of People are sitting on large stockpiles of cash ready to time the market they’ll miss the mark and pile in late either way people that bought early will win

      My strategy is to put half my income into the stock market at the start of every month regardless of what is happening. The second part of my strategy is not to sell for at least 15-20 years. Time in the market beats timing the market

    The next video needs to be on risk management - you can’t have an episode like this and not discuss risk management. A discussion of your mistakes (which led to your drawdowns) would be beneficial

      Agree. I had asked them to talk about Sell strategies, not just throw out names they are investing in and almost no follow up discussions on those names. I have since stopped watching and only check back once in awhile.

      They did do a whole episode about their mistakes once, Chris said he wanted to do more episodes like that. I loved that one. I do believe they are too cavalier about leverage, I don't think Jordan invests that way at all but he didn't speak up in this episode about it, and I don't think Dave really invests that way either except for the 3x fund he mentioned.

    I've been going in hard, buying Tesla for 5 years straight with this thinking. Each paycheck is like a whole quarter's value of work or more in the future. A years salary will turn into 10-20 years of that same salary. Every thousand I put up, I told myself mentally I just locked in 10k at least.

    Hey guys, would be super helpful if you could do another episode about options trading and all the strategies and risks involved. Including how to time them and know the environment of the trade etc. as a way of going deeper into this idea of growing wealth. Thank you!

    • @gordo3582
      @gordo3582 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I disagree, no need to encourage gambling degens. Chris has dropped enough hints about how he uses options (he buys slightly in the money calls when earnings are approaching on a company that he thinks will blow away earnings and is not fully on Wall Street's radar yet, he doesn't put more than 5% of his portfolio into any options trades).

    • @lorenedwardwheeler
      @lorenedwardwheeler 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      nothing wrong with a little education, agree degen behavior isn't to be encouraged but if he's promoting an options-based investment path that's worked for him i think it would be helpful to continue giving specific guides, so people need learn fewer mistakes on their own. also agree with the general strategy you mentioned, i'm a long time listener so am familiar. mostly said this so others could benefit. personally, id like to hear more from Dave (and jordan) on this topic, the medium- and low-risk of the bunch@@gordo3582

    Guys, just brought up a chart of the S&P 500 since 1st jan 2022 and UPRO. S&P is flat whilst UPRO is down from 78 to 52. My understanding is the leverage costs money and is the cause of the decay? Please urgently advise if I am missing something as this is very misleading?

    Great topic on the pod guys. I’m an uber frugal person and put 2-3K in the market every month. I don’t take much risk and basically just buy dividend stocks and large caps with all the extra money saved from not spending money. So far this strategy hasn’t worked out to well but I’ve only been in the market for 5 years now. Currently I’m building a decent equity position in BABA. I’ve got roughly 3K shares at around $80 cost basis. Long term hold on this position

      Munger biggest mistake was alibaba 😮 do not risk your money on Chinese stocks, you can make so much money with American 🇺🇸 companies. Good luck 👍🏼

      @jamesmoran2326 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@anagonzalez8300Mungers cost basis in BABA was a lot higher than $80. I’m well aware of the risks in Chinese stocks, especially the tech sector. I believe BABA has bottomed or will bottom at around the $60-$65 level. I’m willing to bet they will be in the mix of the China AI tech story and a continued winner in technology. Blood is in the streets right now with the Chinese economy and their bear market/recession. I grabbed another 500 shares @$67 on Fri 👍

    Dave's strategy is interesting. Hmm. I am already liking this episode. This is more interesting than usual. Did Jordan use risk capital? I have never been quite sure how you made money. Sometimes it sounds like you made some highly leveraged bets on some stocks, they worked out and you have a bunch of money. But sometimes it sounds like Dave and Jordan started a company of some kind and sold it for big money, then built up capital from there. So it's hard to figure out exactly how this worked. Most people that claim they made the majority of their money investing seem to have actually made money doing something else like selling a business then started investing and hit some big money growth.

    • @gordo3582
      @gordo3582 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agree, its never been fully explained. Those guys did build "TickerTags" and sold the company so clearly some of the investment capital came from that. And Chris' trading was audited and dcoumented in "Unknown Market Wizards" by Jack Schwagger so we have a good idea of how he multiplied his wealth. I think Dave and Jordan were doing many of the same investments as Chris, like Apple from the early days but I have no idea if it was the company sale that got them the original stake to multiply or how well they have done compared to Chris.

    • @azulsimmons1040
      @azulsimmons1040 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gordo3582 I imagine it be like so many other investors where when you have smaller amount, it's easier to multiply. Buffett likely had some early years where he was multiplying his wealth by a huge amount as he was rising up, then the returns slow down as you reach a large enough amount of wealth it becomes difficult to multiply. Almost every investor builds up capital at some point, multiplies it by hitting big very early on, then slows as the wealth grows and they become more risk averse as once you hit it big, you don't want to go back to the poor house being stupid. Though Chris sounds a lot more willing to take on risk than Dave or Jordan.

    Chris is infuriating bc he never talks about his losses. He has recommended stocks like lion electric and when they come back up he says he got out a while ago. It's incredibly frustrating for someone who followed one of his losing trades. He should be more transparent about his losses. I understand if the average guy doesn't want to be but you have to be if you are talking to millions and encouraging risky behavior

    Stop saying you are not promoting high risk bets. You absolultey are most people cannot execute these strategies. Using leverage on high concentrated positions. Most people will get wiped out.

    Chris, it is called WISDOM, not financial advice. The definition of wishdom is knowledge times experience

    Just cause it works for Chris doesn't mean it will work for you.

    This guy is the definition of survivor’s bias… There is a thousand people on wall street bets that have invested this same way and now work at Wendy’s.

    The greatest investors in the world are incapable of doubling their money in multiple years. If it were this easy, everyone would be doing it.
