  • Ulan Ude, capital of Buryatia is great, and it’s where you’ll almost certainly kick off your nomadic adventure in the region. However, it’s only once you exit the city that you’ll see the real Buryatia.
Meet some Expats who’ve made this remote part of Russia their home (& will happily show you around), then get stuck off road - quite literally as you veer off the beaten track.
Buryatia’s highlights are of course its Buddhist culture, and there’s nowhere better to familiarize yourself than at the famous Datsan near Ivolginsk. Plus the food’s pretty good too!

Бурятия очень душевный регион, люди добрые, спокойные, сплоченные, прекрасные

Sometimes I wonder how blind people can learn an instrument or a foreign language. I guess their listening and kinesthetic skills are much more developed than those of ordinary people. This young man is a talented soulful musician and also good at speaking English. I wish him good luck for his future career, whether it's in music or something else.

4:54 the word буханка was mentioned without any explanations. I think it will be usefull if I explain to your viewers that буханка (loaf) is the colloquial name of an all-terrain vehicle. It was shown in 4:58.

Hi Ivan - probably this was mentioned regularly in previous videos, when we travelled around Dagestan (although I admit that perhaps not everybody has seen this video. But they should) ! th-cam.com/video/2JLVacsO9t8/w-d-xo.html
