There's alot of precautions needed and lots of learning to fully secure a nuclear power plant. But I believe that our nation can keep up with it.

This is great!! It’s very viable. It’s one of the causes why international companies are reluctant on investing in the Philippines is because Electric energy cost is high. Not only it will solve ordinary household to have decrease electric bills and with stable supply. It also invites international companies to invest in the Philippines creating jobs for the Filipinos. It’s a win win solution!

Nuclear power plant is Philippine's best hope on lowering power cost and securing power stability.
Bangladesh, a much poorer country than the Philippines has almost finished their first ever nuclear power plant, while the Philippine government and its people are still in the process of debating. Sigh..

we need nuclear now, give it a chance for our future betterment. it will benefit us alot economically, if we just done it decades ago we might not just have only one plant but several other might have sprung to other region of the Philippines..

They deceived the people, for almost 40 years after the completion of bnpp it didn't use or operate because they manupulated the people because of a political agenda. How come people pay for the debt of bnpp construction, for 40 years then the people paid for it and didnt get the return services of low cost electricity.

Snippet: The gov't had decided half way through its operation to shut down the nuclear plant for lack of professional engineers, and other must be educated support staff with sufficient nuclear engineering hands-on experience on how to run such a complicated plant in bulacan district, and the shut-down was ages ago. It's good to look at other new innovations out now, (e.g., renewable hydropower-plant) which I believe would fair out fine for a country like the Philippines -- surrounded by abundant supply of natural water. God bless, PH. must behave. oct2023

FM asked Cory to run it. Everyone knows that. Where is your proof Cory wanted to run it? Where is your proof Marcos did not want to run it in the end? I know he increased the safety feature of the plant after the 3mile disaster in the US then told Cory to run it. It was in fact in his dying request. He was always interviewd about. Even Velasco head of energy then pushed for it. Even others in Cory's cabinet pushed for it. Why build something then not run it? Most important question, why didnt Cory make sure of its safety then run it? It was already finished. Why did Cory just stop it and not do anything about it? Here's the big reason....you need to ask who gained if it didnt run....THE GLOBAL OIL CARTELS in the Philippines...then you see how PNOC was sold later to Aramco. Who is Cory's energy adviser, Cesar Buenaventura? What is his job prior to head of the energy department? The head of the Anglo-Dutch Shell Oil operations in the Philippines, Cesar Buenaventura, joined George Shultz in demanding that the nuclear plant be shuttered - much to the advantage of Royal Dutch Shell. On June 19, 1986, four months after the Edsa Revolution, President Cojuangco Aquino, deliberately abolished the Ministry of Energy and placed the successful multibillion-peso National Power Corporation (NPC), Petron and the Philippine National Oil Corporation (PNOC) under the supervision of the Office of the President. Gets? Just follow the money.
