I am a native land owner whose area is going to be affected by this project! It may seem visionary but maps of NAINA are so out dated that some houses are in the middle of the road according to maps but in reality the road and house are completely at different locations. CIDCO failed miserably to repay the promised compensation, and those affected land owners are still struggling with jobs and education. NAINA is indeed a visionary project but farmers here don't trust any government body because of their actions from the past.

If we develop SEZs in every region the population won't shift to these big cities, and developing regional cities would help develop the whole region and increase employment

I think they should develop other states in North india. No point setting up all the industries in few states. Government should also keep in mind about the climate change and increasing sea levels before expanding costal cities and towns.

Even Gujarat is far ahead of Maharashtra, no matter how small the difference, but compared to FDI development in Gujarat and Tourism development in UP, Maharashtra is so bogged down with over population that all its money is pooled into developing transport -- be it tunnels or roads or metro.
And Transport, though vital, generates no additional money for the state.

The northern parts of mumbai are being developed, virar vasai.The eastern parts of mumbai is also being developed such as navi mumbai kalyan dombivali shilphat etc. the south eastern has naina. Why the north eastern part is failing to see such growth comparatively?

Around 80' & 90' when RIL patalganga plant was in the making, there was news of RIL developing an entire City (SEZ) circled around the then upcoming International Airport.
RIL later is said to have procured large land banks in the vicinity, but the city isn't come up for one to see.
Seems the same area is now being brought under this new Naina project.

It's a very good idea. It would certainly entail high costs of construction. No doubt, it would be logistically impossible to replicate Shanghai, with a long wide natural river: Yangtze is more than 10 meters deep and more than 300m wide in places. The largest ships are able to carry part (half) cargo all the way up river to Shanghai. This results in a huge reduction in transport costs.

Around 50 years of development of Navi Mumbai, the government/authority has not been able establish good medical facility. How do you expect such development in quick time? They are not able to inagurate the uran rail and NM metro despite project being complete

Land pooling scheme of this scale is not first of its kind. It was already successfully implemented in Andhra Pradesh for the state capital Amaravathi.
But farmers are now protesting against it.
Amravathi in Andhra is a classic example of corruption and failure to build anything and generate employment. All the people of Andhra are still coming to Telangan hyd. for jobs.

Hearing C-I-D-C-O instead of a single word CIDCO is weird. Made me realise that people not from Navi Mumbai area might be calling it that 🤔

Bcoz of this the pressure on Mumbai City is rising even if today government clean all the illigal structures shops societies and slum then I think around 20 percent of Mumbai's population will be cleared and with this traffic wil also be cleared and it will be easy to develop the rest place

No it is not including this all regions but central government proposed smart City in this region but it's not finalized 😢
@@yashpandey7585 are yaar Badlapur is well organised, there's plenty place to be developed and also the crowd is well educated except few locals and politicians but it's one of the most eye pleasing location in MMR.
No. Earlier it had some villages of Thane District but they revised the plan later. Now, NAINA is a part of Raigad District only.
What about second Bengaluru at Devanahalli and Doddaballapur area?

Politicians of all parties have heavily invested in land in NAINA, the ones who had prior knowledg of the Airport coming. That is why this project is coming up inspite of STRONG OBJECTION from locals. Many villabes were fully up rooted & environment suffered irrepairable damage due to flattening of many hills & diversions of rivers. Effect of all these were witnessed during recent rains when several villages were flooded
