Well the interesting thing is that Super Saiyan & Super Sonic where both conceived around the same time. Unleashed is known as one of the best Sonic games ever, it's on xbox 360, xbox one, PS3 and the PS2 and Wii (which have different controls, mechanics and graphics too accommodate for the weaker hardware)
Xbox and PS3 are the HD version that you saw here. Wii and PS2 are a different version with shorter but a higher quantity of night levels, cutscenes like Black Knight, and story book style hub levels.
It really isn't. As he best Sonic games ever at in a different breed than Unleashed. Generations, The Sonic 1-3, Rush Sa1, Mania Frontiers, and Advance 1 and 2 and the og Sonic Colors were the best in terms of rating and overall enjoyed.
There's kind of a chronological order to the games going by the release year. The next game you would react to is as follows. - Unleashed has a short film called "Night of the Werehog" (It's CGI like the opening cutscene, maybe watch for Halloween?) - Sonic Colors (2010) / Sonic Colors: Ultimate (2021) - Sonic Generations (2011) / Sonic X Shadow Generations (2024) - Sonic Lost World (2013) - Sonic Boom (2014 - Disclaimer: It's a different universe but has good cutscenes, it also has a tv show) - Sonic Forces (2017) - Sonic Frontiers (2022) Games with dialogue+animated cutscenes - Everything before Unleashed - Sonic Adventure (1999) - Sonic Adventure 2 (2001) - Sonic Heroes (2004) - Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) - Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) - Sonic & the Secret Rings (2007)
I'm going to be a nerd and also submit Sonic Riders (2005/6) The first one is great, and the sequel also has good cutscenes, but #2 and especially #3 are downgrades.
This game went SO HARD because it was the debut of the ps3/Xbox360 era, and Sega REALLY wanted to impress the companies with their technologically impressive game. This game in particular is definitely up there as one of the best sonic games overall, but the Werehog (Sonic’s other form) had gameplay that is…divisive; it played like a slower god of war (old ones, not the BOY ones).

TLDR; Basically it's safe to watch Generations here on the channel, then you guys can watch the Shadow bits later in the fall after it releases. Shadow X Sonic Generations is more like a new DLC (but built into the full game instead.) being put into a remaster of Generations. The trailer that released this week shows stages/bosses from SA2, Heroes, Shadow the hedgehog & Sonic06. The only 4 games he was part of the main cast in and not just a side or background character. So it's going to have it's own mini story campaign.
The thing with fur textures is that it was been able to look insane for decades but it really depends on a ton of factors Look at the TinTin movie an when it came out it looks insanely hard to do

Would really like for you to watch Sonic Adventure 2. That’s the game Shadow was introduced, and it would help more if you guys end up watching Sonic Movie 3. Highly recommend this game. Fun Fact: SA2 was what Sonic Team thought was going to be their last game, so they did their best to make it the best last game in the series. Of course, it continues after, but you can definitely feel how this could’ve been the last. Also, you don’t have to watch the cutscenes of SA1 to understand the story.
(At 14:53) Miles "Tails" Prower can fly but not for long periods of time and it's not uncomble for him to fly a plane or a jet. However every plane model he makes the Tornado-2 and above are his. The Tornado-1 however is Sonic's.
So the red plane is actually sonics plane, the tornado. Tails fixes it and usually upgrades it until it's destroyed in sonic adventure and replaced with the Tornado 2. The plane is for flying to places Tails can't reach with his usual flight
This was the 1st sonic game I ever played as a child and it’s the reason I love sonic to this day. This game and Sonic Colors were insane as a kid, and still are.

The Xbox/Playstation version of Sonic Unleashed is honestly really fun. One of the harder Sonic games, but people still call it one of 3D Sonic's best games. The night levels drag on a bit but I'd love to see y'all try to tackle the game. This has gotta be my favorite 3D Sonic Game.
The reason Amy Rose is just “Amy Rose” is because she was initially created to be the normal girl Sonic fan archetype. Everyone else was fantastical whilst she wasn't. Over time she gradually became more of an actual character and one of Sonic's core cast members. She also had the nickname “Rosey the Rascal” but it didn't stick. This game is part high-speed platformer, half diet-God of War.
Fun fact: This game was also called Sonic World Adventure and all the areas are based off real countries. That place you said looked like Greece was *actually* based off Greece.

A few questions aswered here: 1. Regarding the gameplay, there is a day and night cycle. During the day, it's the standard run-of-the-mill Sonic gameplay. You run around really fast, collect rings, and fight robots. During the night, Sonic turns into a werehog, and the gameplay is more like a slower beat-em-up than a fast-paced platformer. Think something like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, or God of War. 2. This game was released on all consoles at the time. There's the HD version on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and the non-HD version on the Wii and PS2. The HD version is considered the superior version since it has more levels and a hub world for each continent. 3. Tails has had a plane since his debut in Sonic 2 and has it because, although he can fly normally with his tails, he can only do so for short distances. He uses the plane for longer distances.
If yall do play this game, I strongly suggest the Xbox 360 version. The Wii and PS2 are downgraded versions that play and control different, but the 360 and PS3 versions are the true, proper ones.
You should definitely play Sonic unleashed. It's such an amazing game, beautiful even till this day. People craped on the game when they came out because of the warehog, but now. But nowadays people fondly remember this entry many Sonic fans now recognize the game's brilliance
I strongly suggest you guys check out "Night of the Werehog" next, it's basically a short film they made to promote "Sonic Unleashed". It's really well-made, and it even got a short sequel last Halloween called "Ghost Tale".
Yes! Please play this game! It is literally my favorite game ever made! It is playable on PS3 and 360, but the best way to play it is through backwards compatibility with Xbox Series-X in smooth 60 fps. The Wii and PS2 versions are entirely different from the HD versions, and I don’t really recommend them for a first play through of the game.
@@joshshrum2764 It's fun if you like a challenge. All you need is to rack up 99 lives before doing it, then have patience as that one level takes about 45 minutes the first time. Actually I think the worst part about the game are the quick time events. There are so many of them during the final boss fight. It is depressing. I think that and the werehog battle music are my only complaints.
You should watch videos where it’s ones with gameplay clips alongside cutscenes. Multiple channels do this you just have to find one that does it properly.
Next to Black Knight, Generations & Frontiers, Sonic Unleashed is one of my favorite Sonic games of all time!! This game is what introduced me to Sonic & I couldn't be more happier that y'all are finally reacting to it!!
Well guys, you watched another great Sonic game cutscenes. Believe it or not, this was the one game where it gave the franchise a nudge forward after having some hard times prior to this. Like the Black Knight, it’s another combat story game, the only difference is that instead of using a weapon, he uses brute strength and his elastic arms thanks to his Werehog form. Like you mentioned, it has Day and Night cycles where you can play both sides of him. What makes it unique is that you can travel the world and complete quests based on those forms and this is where we were introduced to the Boost, the one feature that embraces Sonic’s true nature and his full power. By the way, Sean, what you said about Dark Gaia being referenced in the Knuckles series is actually another monster from another game, one that came out 2 years before this one and it is dubbed as the worst Sonic game to have ever existed. Reasons to that is because it was released too early due to the holiday season and as a result, the mechanics and controls were lagging and completely malfunctioned. Ironically, it was supposed to celebrate Sonic’s 15th anniversary, only to backfire spectacularly. Still, the backstory is like a PG-13 movie. Check it out.
1:04 Well, Sonic in space is actually normal. Eggman tends to have big bases or ships in the space near Earth’s orbit. Sometimes even further. He even had a Death Egg back in the old games, which is definitely not the Death Star. 14:51 Well, you can run, so why do you use a car?
(At 51:09) NO! NO ONE HELL THAT WAS IT! This is "Dark Gaia" in his base form from _Sonic Unleashed!_ YOU'RE thinking about it "Iblis" in his 1st form from _Sonic 06!_
If you want to watch more Sonic stuff there's a lot of Sonic animated shorts made to promote the games. Unleashed has one as well called "Night of the werehog" and the newest one being made is going to have multiple episodes about Shadow and his past. I definitely recommend watching them since they are decently made. You can see most of them on the official Sonic youtube channel. Also must watch Sonic games would be: Sonic Adventure 2: A bit outdated in some ways but still overall fun watch especially being an introduction to Shadow. Sonic and the Secret Rings: If you liked Black Knight then you will like this game. Great Story and Sonic is also great in it. Sonic Colors: A divisive game when it comes to story and character depiction, but I think it's a fun watch and has some good jokes. Sonic Frontiers: A more serious and introspective Sonic game. It goes into the character of all the main Sonic characters and introduces a most likely important character for future games. Who murdered Sonic The Hedgehog: This one I think you guys should just play. It's pretty much a fun visual novel that's free for Steam definitely worth checking it out.
as someone who has played Sonic games ever since they were first invented I am deeply dissapointed that people don't know about Super Sonic. literally been a thing since the 2nd game in the 90s. I find it awful that all people know about sonic is from the movies. which were good, but they were good BECAUSE they respected the games lore more or less.
Super Sonic is indeed what his golden form is called lol. the 7 chaos emeralds are each basically nuclear reactors. the BIG green emerald is the Master Emerald and can control the other 7 by turning them on or off. Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, and Silver can all harness their power in some shape or form

Yes. This is a game worth checking out. I loved this game when I was little. It might be frustrating and repetitive at times, but the levels are worth checking out. Sonic’s is my favorite because the fast levels are a lot of fun! The werehog levels are fun, but really long at times. The werehog levels are very different though compared to Sonic’s.

PHEW.
There are 2 different versions of this game, both with the same cutscenes and story but numerous gameplay differences. the inferior (imo) wii/ps2 version with stiff gameplay and waggle on wii and different levels, as well as looking worse, and the HD ps3/360 version that is much better in pretty much every way, from better level design, controls, and looks. I'd say both are fairly different experiences.
(At 29:16) Sonic is 15. Amy Rose used to be 8, then before getting involved during the "chaos incident" (SA-1) she used the power of Ring of Acorns and made herself a love is stronger, while also becoming 4 years older. So… Classic Amy Rose is 8 years old. Modern Amy Rose (we're looking at now) is 12 years old.
Nice, the One I asked for, Next, i would like to see either The Secret Rings or Generations, although maybe you should do Colors before Generations, but that might not be too important.
The cutacenes you see are the 360 and ps3 version. The hd version. The ps2 and wii versions follow the same story but uses mostly 2d still images and is completely different gameplay. The 360 version is by far the best and can be played on series x/s at higher framerate and graphics
I'd absolutely recommend this game to play. there's a divide amongst the fan base as per usual, mostly due to people hating on the werewolf form but. Personally i think the game was expertly crafted and there's a version for Xbox 360 and PS3 that was a massive improvement on the original wii release. my 1 and only complaint on this game is the loading screens but that's just me being impatient

Agreed. Sonic always fights for his friends, and the fact that they're friends is the only reason he needs
@@crimsonraiderxv3422 Bingo. This, Frontiers, and Black Knight capture his personality beautifully. The IDW do a really good job exploring his morality too. I know it can be frustrating, but I like that Sonic is a flawed hero. He's doing his best with what he thinks is right. And that's incredibly fascinating. It's why Shadow and Sonic SHOULD come to blows. Not just because Shadow thinks Sonic is incompetent. Shadow and Sonic are fundamentally different beings down to their core. They respect each other, but don't always agree. Prime gets it part right. Ian Hanlin was incredible as Shadow. Sonic....he couldn't been written better.
@@ribottostudio I am part of the Archie crew they way he plays around a ton with that confidence thou there is a edge to it he will pull Secret Rings Lamp scene on anyone he deems as a threat to his friends even if it makes him end up being in the wrong before he corrects it earnestly
House of Cards arc ending slaps "I went with it like I go with everything else I just do everything else"
"I didn't mean it but that doesn't change the fact that I was I am truly sorry I hurt you little bro"
"Next time you need to say something to me stop angsting it it up like Shadow"
Unleashed is known as one of the best Sonic games ever, it's on xbox 360, xbox one, PS3 and the PS2 and Wii (which have different controls, mechanics and graphics too accommodate for the weaker hardware)
It's a different game entirely with the same story and plot, that's why sonic fans dub the SD version "unwiished"
20:04 yes for sure, its one of the greatest sonic games
There's kind of a chronological order to the games going by the release year. The next game you would react to is as follows.
- Unleashed has a short film called "Night of the Werehog" (It's CGI like the opening cutscene, maybe watch for Halloween?)
- Sonic Colors (2010) / Sonic Colors: Ultimate (2021)
- Sonic Generations (2011) / Sonic X Shadow Generations (2024)
- Sonic Lost World (2013)
- Sonic Boom (2014 - Disclaimer: It's a different universe but has good cutscenes, it also has a tv show)
- Sonic Forces (2017)
- Sonic Frontiers (2022)
Games with dialogue+animated cutscenes - Everything before Unleashed
- Sonic Adventure (1999)
- Sonic Adventure 2 (2001)
- Sonic Heroes (2004)
- Shadow the Hedgehog (2005)
- Sonic The Hedgehog (2006)
- Sonic & the Secret Rings (2007)
I'm going to be a nerd and also submit Sonic Riders (2005/6)
The first one is great, and the sequel also has good cutscenes, but #2 and especially #3 are downgrades.
Yea sonic riders is nice and i even had the kinect game which was decent as a time killer but the grind was hell @Cloveinti_Uno59232
@@Cloveinti_Uno59232 I loved the first two sonic riders
There’s actually a deleted part of the beginning cutscene where Sonic’s skeleton is seen while being electrocuted.
38:16 Shadow came from Sonic Adventure 2, not his spin off game
This game went SO HARD because it was the debut of the ps3/Xbox360 era, and Sega REALLY wanted to impress the companies with their technologically impressive game. This game in particular is definitely up there as one of the best sonic games overall, but the Werehog (Sonic’s other form) had gameplay that is…divisive; it played like a slower god of war (old ones, not the BOY ones).
Yes. Eggman has a Death Star, called the Death Egg. It was blown up in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (game). Until he decides to rebuild it again, which he has (repeatedly).
Must Watch Sonic Games for Shadow Gens:
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Heroes
Shadow the Hedgehog
Sonic 06
Both Adventures are a must fr
Also Sonic Heroes since a certain boss makes an appearance from that game.
F**k Sonic '06 the only thing good that came from that game was the songs. including "His World"
@@bananabolt9098 It features the introduction of Silver and his origin as well as Mephiles, one of the best villains and is potentially returning for Shadow Gens
@NabbitCake That's also true
I nearly misread the title for Nazo Unleashed for a second, but this is still good as well
Since the 90s there have always been 7 chaos emeralds. 6 in the first game later changed to 7, plus the Master Emerald that can control the rest.
3:45 The Green one was the Master Emerald, the Chaos Emeralds in the Movie were Shrunk. In the Movie You see colorful Gems spill out of the Master Emerald when it breaks right before Sonic goes Super, Those are the Movie Chaos Emeralds
I’m personally a huge fan of sonic riders- specifically 1&2. You can watch them but playing is also a lot of fun
I'm more into Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
Zero gravity is peak perfection, that game is awesome.
They howling made me remember that every time you play a level in Werehog (wolf form), the character himself howls at the beginning 😂 I loved imitating this when I was younger 😅
I loved this game on PS2 but I was never expecting a cutscene reaction.
Amy used tarot cards to foretell she would be rescued by her true love, then got kidnapped by Metal Sonic, and rescued by Sonic. She uses magic to summon her giant Pikopiko hammers.
Chaomix made lore videos on Project Shadow and the Echidna Tribe
The monster in the Knuckles Show was Iblis from Sonic 06
A really great game, the animation is very impressive given how old it is by now, especially the werehog's fur.
The thing with fur textures is that it was been able to look insane for decades but it really depends on a ton of factors
Look at the TinTin movie an when it came out it looks insanely hard to do
Oh my god y'all should react to snapcube's sonic fandubs if you haven't seen them yet. They're super funny and they dub the game cutscenes in one take. I would do oldest to newest so you get any follow-through jokes.
It's amazing how these guys are enjoying the same things that Sonic fans said were bad, like Chip and the Werehog
Pretty sure they already did before this video came out. Unless I’m getting them mixed up…probably…
14:51 Cause just like us, we got legs but we cant just run to every place we need to go lol
I do wanted to add in addition to this game, there is a animated short "Sonic Night of the Werehog". It is a must watched!
Finally. People who absolutely love Chip. As they should.
(At 14:53) Miles "Tails" Prower can fly but not for long periods of time and it's not uncomble for him to fly a plane or a jet. However every plane model he makes the Tornado-2 and above are his. The Tornado-1 however is Sonic's.
Sonic unleashed also has these adorable little shorts with chip and sonic during their journey. Definitely one of my favourite things about the game
FINALLY SONIC UNLEASHED, still one of those games that hold a special spot in my childhood
Almost every sonic game on playstation and gamecube were bangers. Sonic Unleashed, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 but especially 2, Sonic Heroes.
Now on to the best sonic game ever:
Sonic 06 cutscenes
(At 3:46) Those ARE the _Chaos Emeralds,_ all *7* in total. You're thinking about the _Master Emerald,_ the latter ot which Knuckles keeps tabs on.
This game is part high-speed platformer, half diet-God of War.
honestly she became less of a character over time
@@artin8173 After Sonic Adventure 2 yes but between Sonic CD and SA1, no.
sonic unleashed is generally considered a decent game, though the fandom is pretty split on the night levels.
the music is great though, as usual.
Eh it's controversial, it's a very beloved sonic game it's just the werehog that hit or miss with people, I for one love the god of war clone combat
Sonic unleashed my favourite sonic game all time
19:00 Yes this game is great!! One of the better modern sonic games imo
Besides this being the start of Tails regression. Peak Sonic right here
Fun fact: This game was also called Sonic World Adventure and all the areas are based off real countries. That place you said looked like Greece was *actually* based off Greece.
it'd be crazy if they ever wandered into the idw dubs by adrenaline dubs, things like the metal virus stuff would be both a treat and a probable surpuse for them.
Dude that'd be AMAZING. Adrenaline Dubs really help enhance the experience of the IDW comics
@@CadentClock39 the comics of any run are never perfect, but thier dub of the metal virus arc is so genuinely harrowing (darkest hour is a highlight of what a lot of zombie stories lack imo) and it'd be very funny to watch people new to sonic lore things see how actually fucked that arc is
That would be so cool if they did
Loved this game on xbox but the last level eggmanland was no joke
YES!! Unleashed has one of the best stories!! Sonic adventure 1 and 2 are also worth it!! Also I don’t mind you guys not doing generations cuz there isn’t much of a story to that one, no lie it’ll take you guys like 15 mins 😂😂 but would love to see you play it
A few questions aswered here:
Tales can’t fly all the time, it’s exhausting
These cutscenes are actual peak
If yall do play this game, I strongly suggest the Xbox 360 version. The Wii and PS2 are downgraded versions that play and control different, but the 360 and PS3 versions are the true, proper ones.
You should definitely play Sonic unleashed. It's such an amazing game, beautiful even till this day. People craped on the game when they came out because of the warehog, but now. But nowadays people fondly remember this entry many Sonic fans now recognize the game's brilliance
43:06 That's why Sonic is my favorite character, he is the very definition of good, he never gets put down by anyone
Same here, Sonic the Hedgehog has always been one of my favorite childhood video game heroes alongside Donkey Kong and Crash Bandicoot
I strongly suggest you guys check out "Night of the Werehog" next, it's basically a short film they made to promote "Sonic Unleashed". It's really well-made, and it even got a short sequel last Halloween called "Ghost Tale".
Absolutely goated game
I recommend watching the animated short Night of the Werehog. It's funny, spoopy, and epic.
This is one of the first games I ever played, getting crazy nostalgic from this lmao
I personally love this game. It's genuinely really fun.
Besides Eggman land.
This, heroes and riders on the PS2 was a part of my childhood among other things lol nostalgic ngl
If you play this game, try to play it on a Xbox Series S or X if possible. That way, you won't have to deal with the framerate issues 😭
14:51 Well, you can run, so why do you use a car?
can't wait for the sonic 06 reaction
(At 5:19) Sonic The Werehog! With less speed, more muscle AND spiked cleats!
Damn how is there no gameplay? This game is incredible especially the day stages, this is the fastest Sonic has ever been
One of the best intro cutscene in a Sonic game and a underrated transformation
Yes! My favourite Sonic game!
Sonic Unleashed is my second favorite Sonic game, being behind Sonic Adventure 2
(At 51:09) NO! NO ONE HELL THAT WAS IT! This is "Dark Gaia" in his base form from _Sonic Unleashed!_ YOU'RE thinking about it "Iblis" in his 1st form from _Sonic 06!_
43:08 I like how Chip is in the middle of explaining that he isn't the reason Sonic is himself and they still think it's Chip.
28:42 I never noticed that about Amy
If you want to watch more Sonic stuff there's a lot of Sonic animated shorts made to promote the games. Unleashed has one as well called "Night of the werehog" and the newest one being made is going to have multiple episodes about Shadow and his past. I definitely recommend watching them since they are decently made. You can see most of them on the official Sonic youtube channel.
Also must watch Sonic games would be:
Sonic Adventure 2: A bit outdated in some ways but still overall fun watch especially being an introduction to Shadow.
If you want more of Chip, there is a movie called SONIC Night of the Werehog.
There is also Sonic Unleashed - Special Videos
This intro is probably one of the best intros to any video game ever!! This still holds up, even as a Sonic movie!!
I used to have a toy of weresonic and i would play the demo of this game over and over, till this day i unfortunately never have played it fully. But man thr good memories.
I'm glad you guys checked out Sonic unleashed, this is my fav and my first sonic game of my life. The game means a lot to me and I hope they remaster it or remake it because it truly is a one of a kind sonic game.
Yes. This is a game worth checking out. I loved this game when I was little. It might be frustrating and repetitive at times, but the levels are worth checking out. Sonic’s is my favorite because the fast levels are a lot of fun! The werehog levels are fun, but really long at times. The werehog levels are very different though compared to Sonic’s.
oh my god i just binged all of your sonic content and had SUCH a blast! this was a lot of fun, i love that you guys are getting genuinely invested in the crazy storylines. i know on my last comment i recommended sonic adventure 2 and i still do, but if you're looking at cutscene movies definitely check out sonic adventure first! they're older games for sure so they don't look as good as these, but the storylines...
19:44 PRE-WATCHER !?
Fr 😭
(At 29:16) Sonic is 15. Amy Rose used to be 8, then before getting involved during the "chaos incident" (SA-1) she used the power of Ring of Acorns and made herself a love is stronger, while also becoming 4 years older. So… Classic Amy Rose is 8 years old. Modern Amy Rose (we're looking at now) is 12 years old.
Nice, the One I asked for,
Next, i would like to see either The Secret Rings or Generations, although maybe you should do Colors before Generations, but that might not be too important.
20:00 You guys should definitely play Sonic Unleashed. It's highly considered to be one of the best Sonic games as of recent.
Eggman's whole plot of this game was to awaken an Eldrich God to make a theme park
