Hey i wanted to get my save/map fixed in a episode or just fixed it doesnt need to be in a vid. ( steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1713980594 )
Biffa Plays Indie Games I wish some of these mods would come out or be compatible for Xbox players. I used to play on pc but my system couldn’t handle it once my city grew too big. Now I play on Xbox but it just isn’t the same 👎🏾
I know what you mean, BUT! All of these mods are basicly more or less for the "hardcore" Gamer's. Best example is Move it! and Fine Road Anarchy ! Someone who just play it for the Sim. part, well he doesnt really need these mods. But if you want to create a whole world by yourself or even a City in every detail, these mods are a must have.
Watch T4rget's "Unmodded Cities Skylines" Series. It's kinda impressive that C:S still manage to be enjoyable and playable without any mods. Of course, not without DLCs, thanks to Paradox.
Some are things that they've said would be too resource intensive on older PCs. You don't want to have to upgrade just to keep playing a game you bought. (I mean, they could be DLC, you can always not buy that if your PC can't handle it...) Others have the potential to break the game if used improperly (both in terms of balance and actually making it not function), so they'd have to be heavily altered to be included.
I feel only the rondabout maker and traffic manager is something that CO should just include in the base game already - they did a very basic approximation with the ability to change between traffic lights and stop signs on interchanges. Move it is also close, but it does end up being a bit glitchy quickly (in the sense that you can clip things and just bypass the normal restrictions the game has on slopes etc.).
Waiting for the "Biffa Narrates Your Game ... Mod", where Biffa's voice describes everything you're doing while playing and throws in some lovely British humour along the way.
@@karlashley8680 That's version 1. But it needs to chime in when we adjust intersection settings in TPME, drop in a roundabout, and so on. When the traffic rate drops to below 50% "Oh my giddy aunt, what is going on"
I bought Cities Skyline because of your Traffic Videos and I was so frustrated, because I didn't knew how you were doing all these things (line connectors, traffic sign, etc.) , finnaly I found this video and can play it as I wanted to. :D
@@jessiejanson1528 If you would all buy with his Link they could say how many copies are related to the horky borky Dude. No commercial included btw.. 😝
Honestly there's so many great mods out there for this game. If you're heavy into the actual gameplay as well, then mods such as Rush Hour and Senior Citizens are also very fun - though both will throw their own challenges at you. Nursing homes will always be full of ambulances and hearses, while rush hour mod will force you to carefully plan out your entire transport network on a whole new level.
I was so happy when I first saw the mods listing mod, because now you can make a list of all your assets for one save game, and then start an other vanilla game, without manual enabling all mods and assets again if you want to go back. Great number one spot!
It's also handy if you develop mods. Sometimes you end up crashing the game and as a safety feature, it turns off ALL mods... that lets you easily restore them. (It doesn't do that every time though, I think only certain types of crash?)
Biffa is the professor of Cities Skylines, Scott Manley is the professor of Kerbal Space Program. You gentlemen have taught me heaps, my heartfelt thanks to both of you.
Watching your fix it vids and videos is so soothing. It helps me get to sleep at night. That's not to say your vids are boring! I just mean they're super chilling to watch. Thank you for making them and this mod vid
Glad I found this video. I started watching some of the "fix your city" videos and it inspired me to download the game but it was very frustrating to find it was so different to the game I had seen in the videos!
I think a lot of the "____ It!" mods are made by the same person. There's a few others I like: * Show It: shows stats about a building when you click it * Empty It: automatically starts/stops emptying landfills, cemeteries, snow dumps when they reach a certain percent * Bulldoze It: automatically demolish abandoned buildings - I don't like to have it automated (feels like a bit of a cheat) but you can also just mass-demolish all on command. And a few more that don't fit that category: * Enhanced Mouse Light (Biffa taught me about this one!) - makes it so you can actually see at night * Improved Public Transport 2: gives you a lot more info about transit lines, and gives them better names/colors * Joystick Camera Control: I made this so I have to plug it ;) it lets you move the camera using joysticks or mouse buttons. I find it super handy to bind to the mouse when holding an extra button (that the game doesn't normally use) to quickly pan around, and to a trackball mouse (which is set to not move the cursor in my OS) to easily move the camera as well. I was also thinking I should make a mod for Biffa that just shows the traffic flow % on screen at all times...
Rena Kunisaki I don’t really think the auto-bulldoze is a cheat, because in real life the Mayor’s Office/Town Hall isn’t really responsible for the demolition of private abandoned buildings
Empty It! is a must have tbh. Cemetary and landfill auto management is huge. Also be careful with move it, its pretty easy to break the game with it. I have a very powerful PC and it's not a "running out of resources" issue, just that move it can do things that the engine doesnt like, for example placing a structure outside your borders.
Thanks Biffa! This Mod list, particularly TMPE, Roundabout Builder and ALL of your videos have been a fantastic help. Love all your Cities Skylines TH-cam content. Keep up the great work!
I just read up on it a little... I think I'll go with a 25 tiles mod, since that one doesn't really change anything more than the purchase limit. The 81 tiles are messing a bit more with the game, and some functions don't work outside the basic 25 tiles that are 'official' in the game. The 81 is good if you really want to explore and/or expand, I suppose... but the 25 is the choice if you care about compatibility. Not that I'm an expert, I just googled around a bit... it could all be wrong.
@@ballzydan yes, all mods are free as far as I know. (Unless you mean in-game, you do have to buy the tiles like normal, but there's a button that unlocks them all for free.)
This! 100% This. I have NetPicker and never, ever use it, because I don't do fix-it games on other's cities, and I know all my own favourite roads at a glance. I have never, ever, struggled to find a road. As for toggleable Whiteness, don't have it, don't need it, don't want it. But I could NEVER get the roads I want without Fine Road/Anarchy type tools, and given how essential Biffa finds anarchy in his own videos, I don't think he could either. I *could* play without 81 tiles ... but why would I? Sometimes less may be more, but in this case, More is More. And if Biffa didn't have Network Extensions or something very much like it, he wouldn't need Net Picker at all anyway.
Came here after watching one of the videos where you fixed traffic problems and really wanted Traffic Manager and Roundabout Builder. My traffic is at 62% so it wasn’t as bad as the video I’d watched but these feel like game changers. P.S if anyone is having trouble finding the traffic manager mod, the v11 version is called TM:PE V11 STABLE (Traffic Manager: President Edition). For some reason it doesn’t come up when searching traffic manager so I googled it haha
I discovered you a couple of days ago, iyou are like an angel! I used to play A LOT... and now I really want to start playing again! Thank you very much!
I was waiting for this! Great Job Biffa! Could you do one with road assets, like roads that are kind of missing from vainilla? like a three lane one way small road or a four lane one way medium road or a two lane one way highway slip... that kind of stuff.
Oh man the dynamic resolution mod is something I’ve been needing and didn’t know existed. I’ve got Cities on both the Xbox One X and PC, and it’s bothered me that it looks amazing on the X in 4K but my PC has terrible jaggies. Thank you!!
Buffs is awesome. Really informative and love this video. Just bought it on PS4 about a month ago and moved over to PC because the traffic is horrendous on PS4. Thanks Biffa! Keep up with the videos
Thanks Biffa, your opinion is much appreciated! Whilst I play PS4 for fun I’ve just started on PC too, watching you has convinced me to play this damned addictive game seriously - which means mods!
I see Biffa kept commenting on how he should have done a top 20. So why not do the top ten part two: runner up edition. I mean I just paused and looked at his mod list in mod listing, but I would like his opinion on them too
Played a bit of Cities back in 2017-ish. Starting to get the itch again and was looking for some useful mods. Thanks for your list. I did add to it the "Parallel Road Mod" I've seen you use - Perfect for my OCD. Also using the "Recycling Center Pack" by some guy with "Fish" in his name; I had used it back then and loved it. I noticed you used some awesome pre-built highway exchanges .. gonna keep watching and note those down. Really taking notes, thanks a lot !
My 2 favourite mods after traffic manager president edition are "Ambient Sounds Tuner" with soundpacks (including my own UK sound project pack). This allows you to fine tune the volume of game sfx and replace the awful sirens and beeping sounds from the vanilla ambient sounds. My second is Vehicle Customiser (can't remember the name exactly) which allows you to replace the awful vanilla vehicles with your own ones from the workshop. As well as set each vehicle with colour variarions to be what you select. You can also change capacitys of the buses and trains and do lots of other cool things.
Some of my favorites not mentioned in the video: -District Service Limit 3: Say bye-bye to hearses ranging all over the back of beyond. Properly used, this will let you use districts as boundary lines for your city services. It's very flexible without being complicated. -Boogieman Sam's stuff like Fine Road Anarchy, Fine Road Tool, and Metro Overhaul -Pretty much everything by Bloody Penguins and Bad Peanut -A few of Klyte45's mods such as Tree Respiration (trees and parks act to contain and moderate pollution - just like in SimCity!) and Power-Over-Roads -Network Extensions 2 (ABSOLUTE MUST!!! Right up there with TP:ME!) -Total Autobudget
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines I'd also vote for doing an asset video. In particular in alot of your fixit videos you've done things like 2 lane or 4 lane highways for short stretches but its hard to find things like that on the workshop as there is just so much clutter. what you use for asymentrical roads when you need a dedicated turn lane would also be nice.
Lifecycle rebalance is a big one for me. For the most part you won't notice anything different. Right up until you don't have death waves anymore. Its not one of those cheesy death doesn't happen or is automatically cleaned up mods. It just adds a random factor to immigrant ages and to the age people die at.
I use Move it and TM:PE a lot when I’m playing, I can’t even imagine playing the game without them. Another one I really love is, I forget the name, the mod that lets you alter the terrain all you want. That one’s great for getting areas to look just right.
This is off topic. But things I’d like to see in cities skylines 2, are things like realistic pollution. So wind direction would push pollution to different parts of the city. A true rush hour would be great too, and higher traffic during rush hour could produce more smog. This would bring incentives to build more public transport because pollution and smog negatively affects citizens health. Seasons would be a nice change as well, summers depending on the map choice could be mild or extreme, requiring AC use, and winter could be the same way with heating depending on the maps climate. Mixed use zoning is a must have too, and a medium density zone instead of just low and high. Low density would be strictly 1-2 story buildings. Medium would be anywhere from 3-8 floors for example, and high would be anything bigger than that. The way they could work in mixed use is to add a third zone category. So there could be low, medium, and high density residential, low medium and high density commercial, low medium and high density industrial and office, and then low medium and high density mixed commercial and residential. The low density mixed use could be like cims with a home business and medium density would be builds that have ground level shops and apartments above. And high density would be towers with shopping, apartments etc
I was looking for resize it! for days after watching your vid. Couldn't figure out what it was called for some reason until I saw your mod list. Thank you SO MUCH!!!
@Biffa: Two of my favorite mods are the Pause on Load & Pause on Lose Focus mods. Both of these help to start any game/city load paused, helping ease the stress and being able to look around at game start. For myself, I found the toggleable whiteness mod to cumbersome for general use. BTW, Great Job on your videos. I find them, not only educational, but enjoyable & relaxing. Keep up the great work!!!
I found Auto-Bulldoze to be the most important mod, from a certain stage of the city onwards it's just unplayable without it, even if everything runs quite fine you will do nothing but raze buildings.
OMG Biffa you are a mind reader. had this vid on my wish list since i got the pc version. You dont get mods on xbox. Great vid as always & Thank you :)
In vanila you can also remove/add back traffic lights and set those "give way/Priority" signs at intersections. And mods may be great...but they disable Achievements on Steam.
loading screen mod should be one of your first ever mods, it will show you in a simple text file saved on your pc what assets are missing and what mods are not working, then get sort mod settings, its tiny as and sorts all mods in order while looking at them in the menu, both are quality of life mods and do not really change anything in game, they are just like amazing assistants that are never late for work.
MOD Nr.6 - when you pick to build the roads 3:28 and a small analog interface appears on the left (up/down/left/right) to faster scroll trought the items. What mod is that or how to enable it? EDIT: Found it it is Resize it! by Keallu in steam workshop.
If you could find the time, it would be great to have a video going over how to use the mods like hot keys and setup please. some of them are not very straight forward on how to use/tweak them. :-)
So mods won't work with windows 10 version? Is there another place for Womdpowes 10 version for mods? always play this on my pc and xbox because of saved crossplay. Thanks Biffa.
Horray! i actually had this game in my steam (but not played it) and now i'm addicted to your channel! i'm going to add these mods, i'm on the steam workshop i'm looking for them now. not sure how to install them, i'm sure i'll work i out! omg roundabout mod! haha i might make you a bronze roundabout for your office! EDIT: thanks biffa i got them all except that last one. cheers o/
Anarchy is somewhat important as well. You can build cities without it but why would you? The game just gives you too many limitations on what you are allowed to place next to each other. So I personally consider the mods that provide anarchy a must have
How do You not lag That much? I Only have 5 Mods and a gamer PC and my cities skyline has stop responding 10 times (and i got Every Thing from The workshop) 😥😥😢
May i ask what happened to Traffic Manager: President Edition? it says on the workshop that the item does not exist or the author removed it? if so are there any alternatives?
Ah nevermind my comment on a previous video. I guess it's a Mod for adapting traffic lanes. Once I stop going for achievements I'll definitly use these mods, thanks for the recommend
hey, Ive just noticed with traffic manager mod there is an experimental version, Do you use that or stable version? i have just bought the game and been chekcign out what mods i would like to use but i wasn't sure if i should use the stable version or not and what was your opinion on each version, I presume everything I would need is in stable. thanks
I'm still a bit of a PC noob(life long console player) but if I got this off origin can I use steam mods I'm guessing not and if so where can I get then otherwise?
Thanks for the vid. I had a mod that would show network issues. Say someone died or 10 people are dead, you could click on it, and it would bring you right to the house where they died, then refresh the little magnifying glass and it would show you the all the rest. You just have to click on them in the pull down list it shows. It was almost like a search bar on the top, but you can't search anything, just click on the icon that shows up, and it brings you right to it so you don't have to go searching everywhere for an issue. Or you have a one way street, but you put another section the wrong way. It would show it on the top. Do you know what that mod was called? TIA

-Boogieman Sam's stuff like Fine Road Anarchy, Fine Road Tool, and Metro Overhaul
-Pretty much everything by Bloody Penguins and Bad Peanut
-A few of Klyte45's mods such as Tree Respiration (trees and parks act to contain and moderate pollution - just like in SimCity!) and Power-Over-Roads
-Network Extensions 2 (ABSOLUTE MUST!!! Right up there with TP:ME!)
-Total Autobudget
Some good ones, I could easily make a top 50!
Do one on "Assets". Buildings, roads, junctions, etc.
Good idea :-)
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines I'd also vote for doing an asset video. In particular in alot of your fixit videos you've done things like 2 lane or 4 lane highways for short stretches but its hard to find things like that on the workshop as there is just so much clutter. what you use for asymentrical roads when you need a dedicated turn lane would also be nice.
@@merendell I believe all of those come from the mod "Network Extensions 2." I highly recommend it
@@ChaiKirbs Thanks. I'll check that out.
Lifecycle rebalance is a big one for me. For the most part you won't notice anything different. Right up until you don't have death waves anymore. Its not one of those cheesy death doesn't happen or is automatically cleaned up mods. It just adds a random factor to immigrant ages and to the age people die at.
Yeah I like that one too :-)
I use Move it and TM:PE a lot when I’m playing, I can’t even imagine playing the game without them. Another one I really love is, I forget the name, the mod that lets you alter the terrain all you want. That one’s great for getting areas to look just right.
You mean Extra Landscaping Tool?
Thank you SO MUCH!!!
good idea is to link / write the MODs you are talking about.
Ronja E. Nielsen did you not see the literal first link in the first comment?
@@abnormallynormal8823 you linked the top 10, Not the ones you talked about,But found out what I needed.
what buttons do you press to get the roundabout builder up?
Id recommend using the mod "City Vitals Watch " instead of the Number 5 suggestion.
OMG Biffa you are a mind reader. had this vid on my wish list since i got the pc version. You dont get mods on xbox. Great vid as always & Thank you :)
:-)
This was very informative (Been trying to figure out some of these mods for a while), thank you.
thank you for linking the list. it made it a lot easier to find everything.
how do you have extra kinds of roads?
if you find, please tell me, thanks
In vanila you can also remove/add back traffic lights and set those "give way/Priority" signs at intersections.
And mods may be great...but they disable Achievements on Steam.
There's a mod to stop losing acheievments when you use mods ;-)
Whoever makes the “it” mods has clearly been listening to old school Daft Punk (Hint: Technologic)
jdshdjsjdhj that song ended up stuck in my head after watching this
Yeah. That clip is VERY creepy. Knowing, the animatronics is Chuky, from the movies, makes it even worse.... Brrrrr......
tyvm, seen it, like it, got to get it, enjoy your videos
Damn, a top 10 with less than a minute for each topic.... Those are rares now a days!
Brief and to the point ;-)
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines rare this days, with everyone trying to get to the 10min mark
Thank you for this, already have traffic manager but just got the game a week ago so I’ll love to try this
loading screen mod should be one of your first ever mods, it will show you in a simple text file saved on your pc what assets are missing and what mods are not working, then get sort mod settings, its tiny as and sorts all mods in order while looking at them in the menu, both are quality of life mods and do not really change anything in game, they are just like amazing assistants that are never late for work.
81 tiles? Although for those who don't wish to, sure you don't need it need it, but it's nice to have that control over the entire map.
Awesome vid, thanks for sharing, love the way you show us how you achieve what you do.
Thanks 😀
2B - Road Anarchy. Let me see you build and retain sanity without that angry chirpy ;P
This is one of the most helpful videos that I have come across. Thank you old great one!
MOD Nr.6 - when you pick to build the roads 3:28 and a small analog interface appears on the left (up/down/left/right) to faster scroll trought the items. What mod is that or how to enable it?
EDIT:
Found it it is Resize it! by Keallu in steam workshop.
I wish my dad could play cities skylines with me. Thanks for the vid btw
You're welcome :-)
If you could find the time, it would be great to have a video going over how to use the mods like hot keys and setup please. some of them are not very straight forward on how to use/tweak them. :-)
Hello, I tried to use TM:PM on my MAC and the game froze. Probably specs don't meet the requirements for mods.
EDIT: thanks biffa i got them all except that last one. cheers o/
Hey Biffa, What are the names of the roads you use?
Yes Biffa. What road mods do you use for three lane roads, bus lane only roads, etc.? Inquiring minds want to know...
most of the mods/assest are not showing ingame :/ in the "steam workshop" it says it's there...
Anarchy is somewhat important as well. You can build cities without it but why would you? The game just gives you too many limitations on what you are allowed to place next to each other. So I personally consider the mods that provide anarchy a must have
How do You not lag That much? I Only have 5 Mods and a gamer PC and my cities skyline has stop responding 10 times (and i got Every Thing from The workshop)
😥😥😢
Pc spec makes a huge difference 👍
do you know if there is a mod for this game that lets you place buildings that you want where you want without waiting on the to build
Yes, Find It mod :-)
Any chance you can tell me mods and traffic control for Xbox one .. and for origin
May i ask what happened to Traffic Manager: President Edition? it says on the workshop that the item does not exist or the author removed it? if so are there any alternatives?
You need v 11 :-)
Would have been nice to have a list with links to each mod in the description.
... There's a collection...
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines oh, so there is. My bad. I guess I was too busy looking for a list that I missed it haha. My bad dude.
I downloaded a lot of custom vehicles for things like metro and monorail but they don’t load... why?
Hey could someone help me. My bottom bar doesn’t show the money or any of that how do I fix it?
Very nice of you to make this video much appreciated and I'm going to check each out!
You're welcome :-)
thanks for your demo. is there any way to get a non plastic look for water and waves?
Are asymmetrical roads a dlc or a mod
Both, mass transit and network Extensions 2 👍
Biffa Plays Indie Games : thanks so muchhh
Love your videos btw
thanks for this. just started playing and this is a real help
:-)
Ah nevermind my comment on a previous video. I guess it's a Mod for adapting traffic lanes. Once I stop going for achievements I'll definitly use these mods, thanks for the recommend
There's a mod to allow achievements too with mods. Achieve it! 👍
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines Not on xbox unfortunately. I would love to send you my city to see you fix my industry but alas
What is the mod that gives 2 rows of roads to select from at the bottom?
@Biffa Plays Indie Games On my Cities Skylines account this mod (Traffic Manager: Presidental Edition [Stable] won't work.
Update it 👍
what about xbox gamepass for pc. I dont have it on steam xd and cant get steam workshop things.
Needs to be steam version for steam mods 👍
can someone help, when I turn on TM:PE my service vehicles wont spawn, does someone know hoe to fix that?
How do you get all those extra roads with 4 lanes and such?
hey, Ive just noticed with traffic manager mod there is an experimental version, Do you use that or stable version? i have just bought the game and been chekcign out what mods i would like to use but i wasn't sure if i should use the stable version or not and what was your opinion on each version, I presume everything I would need is in stable.
thanks
I use stable 👍
If I later uninstall the roundabout mod will the roundabouts still work?
Yes
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines thank you 🙌🙌🙌
What is that mod called that gives u all of the special roads
you can use the steam list link in the description and subscribe to all of them :3
@@Amaro3210 I don't think that really answered his question.
5:45 just says error when I turn it on
I hate putting one tree at a time how do I brush or put a lot of trees at a time?
Tree brush mod
Biffa Plays Indie Games thankyou
How do I get that thing that on the left on the bulldozer on the bottom left????
move it
You really should have MOM (metro overhaul mod). Very surprised you don’t have it as that and Move it! Are definitely my top two..
Can't fit everything into a top ten 😉
Hi biffa,
can you tell me which mods you have and which you regularly use outside of the top ten that you have shown?
Greatings from mathieu
List on my discord 👍
I'm still a bit of a PC noob(life long console player) but if I got this off origin can I use steam mods I'm guessing not and if so where can I get then otherwise?
I don't think you can from what I can see, but if you use my affiliate link below you can :-)
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines thanks for replying so quick I'll consider it 😂
👍
Im surprised not to see Precision engineering on the list.
how do i install the mods on my sega game gear?
Lol
Thanks for the vid. I had a mod that would show network issues. Say someone died or 10 people are dead, you could click on it, and it would bring you right to the house where they died, then refresh the little magnifying glass and it would show you the all the rest. You just have to click on them in the pull down list it shows. It was almost like a search bar on the top, but you can't search anything, just click on the icon that shows up, and it brings you right to it so you don't have to go searching everywhere for an issue. Or you have a one way street, but you put another section the wrong way. It would show it on the top. Do you know what that mod was called? TIA
