Mike when I "extract" the xz file I get an entire folder. I've heard others say "decompress it" which seems to linguistically make sense but I can't seem to find an app or library quickly that just decompresses. Any chance you could point me to the tool that will process ths xz file into the format needed in a Windows environment?
Hi Bruce, on Windows I would pretty much always use 7-Zip, including for .xz files. Keep in mind, you are only using Windows as a middle ground here... your target is still Android where you have bash via ADB. When you extract the frida-server binary, you'll likely end up with a single file with no extension. This is your frida-server executable, but it must be transferred onto the Android device, set with appropriate permissions to execute, and finally be run. Hope this helps!
