Good video, good info as always. I enjoy watching your videos, always learn something. I can't wait to get out there myself. I generally catch my wahoo from 150 to 180ish.
Thanks man and thanks again for watching. I know my production sucks but it’s incredibly difficult to run a camera and a boat so it means a lot to hear that someone enjoys the videos. That 180 is the golden depth. 👀👌🏽😎
Love your videos. My favorite part is when you show exactly how you rig everything. I would pick the Gores High speed trolling lure. Keep up the great work.
Great vid. 2 questions - 1 what hooks do you prefer for hoos? I’ve run Mustad 8/0 7692DT on all my stream rigs and this past weekend had several short strikes and only boated 1 nice hoo. I think I need a slightly longer shank. 2 you talked about zig zagging along the break but can we assume when you find fish you circle? I like to make at least a couple circles starting narrower and close to the bite and widening out before I continue on. What’s your move, Slick? Thanks for sharing all that you do!
Thanks for the support and thank you 🙏 for watching! At the moment, we are running Mustad 9/0 and BKK side by side, because like you, we are trying to have less short strikes. The problem is, with short strikes, that you will always have short strikes. There’s nothing you can really do to deter that. As far as circling a fish when I mark one, absolutely! I circle bait, I do circles on fish marks, I circle everything that I think will hold a fish. I also make note of what direction I was going if I get bit and I try to mimic that.
@@SlickMoves Thanks! I've been using rip charts. I don't get out very often but was in Hatteras this past weekend. We stayed in to close, caught 6 barracuda... I was disappointed but my 12 year old loved reeling them in!
@@SlickMoves Up here it’s primarily Yellowfin, Bluefin and White Marlin, I have videos on my channel. Wahoo are scarce here that’s why I want to target them.
We got on the wahoo pretty good out of Carolina Beach last Thursday. 75 fathoms water was almost 88 degrees. First time I've ever caught multiple wahoo in that warm of water.
Awesome video Capt. I've got a lot to learn and I'm picking up a bunch from these video's. Looking forward to hands on lessons for catching fish out of Morehead area. I will definitely look into subscribing to SatFish in the near future. If I win, I'd like the Gore's offshore Skirted lures.
Yessir, I plan on it. I’m in the middle of the transition from a center console to our new to us 50’ Sportfisher so as always, I’ve been going 100 mph and haven’t had time to make a video. I will be dropping one in the very near future.
Man breath of fresh air . Just getting into off shore fishing and have some 50’s to spool just wondering what if your using braid mono or both ? Worried about planners with mono ?
Thanks for watching! 50W’s: 80-100lb Braid backing, 50lb mono top shots Planer: 80W Half spooled w/ 200lb or better (the heavier the braid, the less chance on it digging through itself on the spool) braid to planer bridal with 75’ of 200lb extra hard mono
I’ve learned more from your videos than I ever have fishing with others offshore.
Thanks, Capt! Keep dropping videos because I watch all of yours as well! 🤙🏽 We need to collab sooner than later. 💪🏽👊🏽
@@SlickMoves I would like to be along for that trip!
Awesome video!!! Great information! Keep crushing it!!
Thank you 🙏 so much!!!
Been some wahoo in pretty close lately, 15 fathoms or so. Tried to find them this past weekend but the only thing the planer rod picked up was AJs
Yeah every now and then we snag one in the shallows while we are live baiting for kings. Keep us posted if you find one!
Man, I been looking everywhere for a video on rigging those with wire. Thanks for the tip brother💪🏼
No problem 👍
Awesome! Arguably the best eating fish out there.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks 🙏 for watching!
Would love to see a more in depth explanation of how you use satfish to decide what area to target on a given day. Love the channel man.
Thanks 🙏 man! I’ll try to get one in the works. 🤙🏽
Nice work capt!
Thanks and thank you for watching!

Get'em Slick!
We tryin’, Capt!
Thanks for the videos, always like the excitement. Also if you could, a video showing a could days worth satfish shots would be awesome.
Great suggestion! Will do. I think I may actually do a SatFish “How To” video in the near future. Thanks 🙏 watching!

good videos man!
Appreciate it, brother!
Good advice on tracking and finding the eddy. They can move miles away overnight
Yes and they can do so in a hurry! Thank you 🙏 for watching!
Great videos, would love more rigging videos and intel on why you choose each lure/color.
Will do! Thank you for the kind words and thank you 🙏 so much for watching.
Great Video! Some very helpful information. I’m going to start hunting for Wahoo up here off OCMD.
Heck yeah! Let me know what you find. I’m interested to see what your area has to offer. 💪🏽 As always, thanks for watching, Capt!

Love the wahoo vids.
Glad you like them! I hope to have some more in the near future. Thanks 🙏 for watching!
I catch most of my wahoos between 200-400 feet many of them coming on the short deep planar! Cheers from south florida
Awesome! Seems almost textbook. Thank you 🙏 for watching and cheers!
Definitely interested in a course on SatFish. Love your videos.

You fish Offshore III??
I fish on any boat that goes after wahoo. Jaford and his crew know how to catch ‘em. 😎🤙🏽
I’m actually watching your gore’s offshore rigging vid on TH-cam as I’m typing this!!
My man!
Pretty work, brother.
Ps. Those 20s eat just as good as the 50s.. lol
No doubt, lol. Thanks 🙏 for watching, brotha!
As always, thanks for the support!!
Always!
Very nice sir. When I win them, I'll pay for a trip to learn how to use them.
Haha, I like your style! 💪🏽🤙🏽👊🏽

Be safe out there 👍
I catch most of my wahoo around 160ft off key largo
Nice! Not too far of a ride for you all! We are typically running between 30 & 60 miles, depending on the water.
Tight lines cap
Thanks 🙏!
why do you use fathoms
I’m just used to it. It’s much easier to use Loran and fathoms for specific locations. I’ll make a short explaining that, sometime.
Need some fishing tips.
Tip #1: You can’t catch ‘em from the couch.
Get out there and drag some Gore’s Offshore and ShortRigger Tackle at 6.5kts. 💪🏽
Have to learn from your videos first. Keep them coming.
You got it. I will do my best. Thank you 🙏 so much for watching!
Catch them up boys
We try our best! Thanks 🙏 for watching!
