And here's the equally as amazing Line 6 Pod Express that I bought and used in this video: www.zzounds.co...
Yeah, anyway, what a great guitar! I was super excited to finally play a Firebird, but I was not expecting this guitar to be such a beast of an instrument. Stable, versatile and LOUD. That resonance of playing it unplugged is something I should've included a segment of...
Thank you for watching this. And reading this! Again, the best way to help me is clicking my affiliate link and shopping with zZounds: www.zzounds.co...
I am a big Firebird fan, it may be my favorite guitar of all time. Everything about the design is different from the norm.
Yep! It’s a style that still feels “rare” AND it’s really comfortable. Love lounging on the couch and playing this one!
@@sunnyhaair I am currently kicked back watching the Olympics in my recliner and riffing on my Vintage Burst Firebird, I also have the Olive Drab version and the vintage burst Thunderbird, none of them in their cases, the green one has super fat 12/ 62s for drop D
Trogly time just popped up
Great video thanks.
Thank you for watching!
That's a really nice guitar and modeler setup here man. So much tone, great video!
Thanks I appreciate that!! The Pod Express is incredible! I’ve been playing guitar so much since getting it cause of how great the tones are. Super versatile too. I think I’m gonna put together a video on it sometime soon
Thanks for watching btw!
What a fantastic video have a wonderful weekend also Monday is my friends birthday also my birthday ❤❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😊😊😊😊
Thanks! Happy birthday to you and your friend 🎈
😮 Incredible video!!! 🎸 🔥 🔥 🔥
You’re incredible for watching! Thank you!
Great job!
Thanks Roy!
You're welcome. I've always wanted a Firebird I so your video is great for me, you demonstrate a lot of it's hard rock capabilities.
Great stuff man. Subscribed!
Glad you enjoyed it - and thanks for subscribing!
Maybe leave the text up a couple seconds longer each time
I do always struggle getting the timing just right on the text
@@sunnyhaair i should have also said great guitar and great sound. I have some visual impairments so speed reading isn’t my thing
How is the tone pot wired? Classic or Modern style?
Classic! I should’ve mentioned that sorry. Hand-wired, CTS pots and a Mallory capacitor 👌
@@sunnyhaairClassic is the best. I got to where I put that and the Mojotone PIO caps on pretty much everything. Nice.
Well done. No flamethrower for Epiphone?
Exploring what the instrument makes available,
instead of decrying the entitlements demanded.
Tempered and even. Thanks.
I think a lot of people overlook what Epiphone makes accessible at their price point. Yeah, it’s a relatively high price, but these IGC guitars outperform their price point.
Thank you for watching and such an articulate comment!
now i need a firebird 😭
I know the feeling! They’re really special guitars. If you keep an eye on zZounds you can often find “blemished” ones that are good as new for a nice discount.
This standard Firebird is cool too! www.zzounds.com/a--3971719/item--EPIEIFBOD?siid=280112
It’s actually got pickups made to specs of the original proprietary Firebird pickups
Man they are so cool. Cant decide between these or a bonamassa model…
Nice tones dude.
Thanks, the Pod makes it easy!
@@sunnyhaair Yeah, those digital units come with native compression and "processing" that is a very different sound to a raw tube amp. I've used a bun ch of digital things over the years and they have a place for convenience, but I always play tubes when I can. You would LOL at my "travel" rig.
Yeah it’s definitely a different beast getting used to playing and dialing in “studio tones” instead of pure amp ones. Both have their benefits for sure
What’s your travel rig?
Before I switch to helix mine was two of these AxeTrak iso cabs, a 100 watt Randall, and a Zoom g9.2tt… I thought it was traveling light too lol
@@sunnyhaair I drive anywhere from a few hundred to a thousand km for two week stints in a doing of some sort, usually, though sometimes a house, sometimes a serviced apartment.
I have a simple home-made cab with a 1x12, currently a Creamback 65, a Mesa TA-15, a pedalboard which started life as a Morello rig with his Power 50 pedal, and his wah, a Whammy, a phase 90 and a Boss RE-202, but has had a few other things added, EQD Zoar and a Mythos Chupacabra. Guitars vary, but usually 3-4, St Vincent, ESP E2 Eclipse are the regulars, but will take a Strat or Jackson Juggernaut or Gretsch depending on what phase I'm currently in. It's silly, but life is too short for a B rig :)))))))))
