12.3 Whipping in a three stand rope

I have couple questions:
why did you start from the top and not the bottom? is it any different?
if I wrap the twine around it has to be always against direction of the rope?
and when you finish the rope, there is no need for some kind of ending knot?

Hi Daniel, we start at the top because we want to stitch close to the end of the rope. We wrap the twine against the direction of the rope because its better to get proper tension on the whipping twine.
