Glad you made it home, I'm born and raised here in Florida. If you guys were in Orlando or close surrounding areas and not in a flood zone, you would've been alright since we are inland. We just might have the electricity and water off for a few days and some debris. The coasts unfortunately get the worst impact since that's where it starts off strong and the hurricane weakens as it makes its way inland. Regardless, its great you made it home because as you said, you guys where not prepared and didn't have the essentials needed incase water and electricty goes out.
