Thanks Si yes I was surprised how much better it come out the fog actually made it look good. And you know what happens it's just you lot stood around waiting whilst I think I'm Steven Spielberg 😂😂😂😁👍
Great to see you both out again, Carl. Bloody cameras don't stand a chance staying upright in the wind - Great Links is a cracking area - some fantastic North Moor views. Keep on keeping on, chief!
Cracking video Carl, lovely hike up there . Enjoyed your timelapses of the weather rolling in. Great spot to pitch up and chill out with your mates. Must admit that mixed grill looked delicious😋Look forward to part 2, thanks for sharing, atvb to you👍
Thanks Alistair really appreciated yes the music went well with the video the track went on for 6 minutes so I just used it throughout the video I was worried that people might think it was to much of the same music 😁👍
Carl, I met you as you got off of the bus on your way home. Well, what a professional presentation you produce, you should be on television. Really, it is that good: your commentary is so, so good, and the photography is completely professional. And, you come across as so well too. Enjoy your next trip
Thank you for the very kind words Martin it really is appreciated it's a shame we only chatted at the end of the bus trip I wish I had stayed on the lower deck and chatted. I bet when you was watching the video you was thinking that you was camped just around the corner glad you enjoyed this video and hopefully you will enjoy part 2 when I upload it😁👍
Wild Dartmoor in it finest glory , well done guys in changeable conditions . Still managed to rustle up some fine looking scran there Carl , look forward to part 2 ATB Dave 👍🏻
Thanks Dave yes proper Dartmoor weather but more what you would expect in the winter I don't mind bad weather but just not when your meeting other people😁👍
Looking forward to part two, Carl. It's been an unseasonal month for the weather. Let's hope it ends in a brighter spell. Really liked that timelapse of the cloud and fog sailing past. All the best.
Beautiful Dartmoor. Does not matter what season or month when up there, ALWAYS expect and prepare for fowl weather, its Dartmoor. I used to love roaming around the Moor in January or February because you knew the weather was fowl and it would be challenging and no other people about, perfect.
Thanks for watching yes I know what you mean we did expect the weather as we knew the forecast it's just a shame when you meet people and the weather is like that I don't mind so much when it's a solo😁👍 PS why do you start the comments with Beautiful Dartmoor 😁👍
@@Intotheoutdoors69 haha because Dartmoor is a beautiful place to be, I love it there, trained there, been there many dozens of times over the last 40 years, its a challenging place most of the time. Beautiful Dartmoor 👌🏴
can't beat the british weather eh?! not surprised you were hungry after running around the moor with that mountain of a rucksack! at least you got some in the end.. great stuff & look forward to part 2 cheers
Thanks Dave yes it was and it's a shame you couldn't make it and after hearing what happen the night after at Fur Tor in glad I didn't come to that now😁👍
Great video, I have to say though it did make me laugh when you gave a warning not condoning drinking alcohol on the moors. At the end of the vid you have an empty bottle beside you hahaha. Also your mate had a few cans in his tent lol. Brilliant cooking though, better than I have at home! Really enjoy your videos and this ones been a goodun
Thank you really appreciated and I think what I said about the drink come out wrong of course I drink on the moors but what I was supposed to say was not to go climbing rocks once you've had a drink I didn't mead on the ground😁👍
Watching your video and wishing I had bacon in the fridge 🤣 Great video Carl, I was up at Brat Tor a few weeks back, I had better weather, le's hope it improves, hasn't been great lately. Liked the underwater shot at Foggintor 👍🏻
Thanks Peter really appreciated yeah the weather isn't good for this time of the year sorry if I made you feel hungry. And can't believe it's been a year since I went to Foggintor quarry 😁👍
@@Intotheoutdoors69 Lol. You're one of the few wild campers Carl who seem to take proper food rather than a pack of dehydrated but a meal of the dehydrated would have cost about the same as your mixed grill. A bit of extra weight but a lot of extra pleasure!
Hi Carl, great to see you out and about again mate :) Good to see the Dartmoor summer hasn't failed you ;) The rolling hills and rocky outcrops of England, what more does a man need? The mixed grill was the icing on the cake. Always a pleasure catching up with you Carl, all the best, Mark :)
Thanks Mark the weather will never stop me going out it's just a pain when the weather is bad and you meeting people don't mind it so much on a solo. I hope your keeping well I still have a few of your videos to catch up on well I have a lot of videos from lots of channels to catch up with you know how it is hope you can make it down next year 😁👍
Hi Carl, yes I am deffo still coming down mate. I was going to come down this summer, but my dad died a couple of weeks ago, so wanted to stay local to help out family and my mum. I'm glad you are keeping well mate. Speak soon, all the best, Mark :)
I am so sorry to hear that Mark I know how your feeling I lost my dad 11 year's ago and I understand you wanting to stay local. Take care mate and we will catch up soon 👍
Nice video...I have been up to Nodden spectacular views really enjoyed the footage shame about the camera falling over, still you managed a nice shot.ATB Ana
Thank you really appreciated as you could see I was gutted about the camera falling but I've had worst than that happen to me when filming I've got home to edit before and realised I haven't recorded or had no audio 😁👍
Good trip, good mates and great food as always. Itching to get out there myself as you well know. Hopefully all the shit weather will be out of Dartmoors system by the time I come 🎮👍🤞
Thanks Rob really appreciated and with all the bad weather we've had I'm sure the sun will be out soon and hopefully I will see you soon even if it's just for the day😁👍
Like you, I love recording our beautiful Dartmoor. Loving your videos, just came across your channel and subscribed. Looking forward to working my way through your videos now, thank you for sharing them 😁
sorry for the late reply thank you really appreciated I hope you like the rest of my video's unfortunately Ive not been on Dartmouth since February but Ive still got loads of orher video's. your nad running on Dartmoor its bad enough hiking ot let alone running it😁👍
Brilliant video mate. I wish I could have a couple of nights on the moor but I would have to set up the tent near a main road as I'm disabled and can't walk more than a few yards at a time. The rules are that you have to set up camp out of sight of main roads, which is a pity.
Thank you really appreciated sorry to hear this but have you looked up wild camping sites in and around Dartmoor where you should be able to park your car and pitch up close to it there are loads of places like that and it would almost feel like you was properly wild camping 😁👍
holy cow dude you know how to live!!! feast like a beast!! sweet vid, chucked you a sub and lookforward to seeing more of your content! happy tails bro
Cracking video Carl and you Captured some really Nice Photo shots, Beautiful views particularly like the Lonely tree, I have watched a lot of wild camps on Dartmoor But I think these are the best views I have seen so far, Now thats what I call a mixed grill LOL, Amazing how quick the weather can turn when we are out in the wilds, can I ask what camera or phone you use and what video Editor you use,Thanks for the sub very much Appreciated, Got to watch Part 2 yet, Enjoyed, Stay Safe, ATB, Les.
