A beautiful set Oscar, very good runner too. Cheers, David.

Very powerful these models David. They have those ribbed wheels and make a hell of a racket! But they do pull. The coaches however create a lot of friction with the pick ups for the lighting. I have several others to make a longer rake. Sadly there is no way she will get up the incline with more than three of these illuminated coaches. She will do more on the flat but I have to avoid the first radius curves. Oscar

Oh how I dislike those ribbed wheels. They fill up with dirt so quickly. David.

Brilliant, very smart train, thanks for the "low-angle" shots, you know I love those. : )
    Cheers, Cliff.

Thanks Cliff glad your enjoying these low shot. I might have to drill holes and use a periscope to get any lower! Oscar

Overhead catenary system operates exceptionally well.

Another great video thanks for sharing. I think the electric loco is the one that uses the Hornby Dublo body. I have wondered why Lines Bros paid for Hornby Dublo when so little was carried forward into their product range

Good point, I think the most valuable part of the take-over was the name "Hornby", coming with a reputation (Meccano), plus almost a household name at that time.
      Regards, Cliff.

Hi David I think the body was same but tooling was changed to accommodate the pick up selection switch on the roof. Tri-ang put a much cheaper chassis / motor inside and inferior pantographs on the roof. As Cliff has pointed out the most important thing the Lines Bros got from there purchase was the Hornby name and the reputation.I believe from what I've read that Hornby's production costs across the range had become very high. There products were made to a very high standard and massively over engineered. I think this Is why the Hornby Dublo product lines were not continued.
Thanks again David for taking the time watch and comment. Oscar

There are a few holes in the collection Dolores. A green Hymek and a Maroon streamlined Coronation class spring to mind. Oscar
