What a absolutely gorgeous stone of the late Billy fury. My late brother John used to sing his songs he loved Billy fury and elvis god bless sweetheart Billy fury xx.
Hello Kathleen, gradually enjoyed Billy Fury. It's always a little weird to me when people watch them. I did that one a few months to back but it was a lovely grade. Take care, Alan
Billy Fury was way before my time Alan, well I mean I was born in 67,but he was in or from a different era,and I knew nothing about him until I just watched your excellent tribute to him and as you said his Grave is Amazingly well looked after! I then watched Billy on the 1976 Russell Harty show although for some reason Harty annoys me,but it shows what a thoroughly nice guy Billy Fury was! R.i.p. .
And if you look into him Roger. It was a lovely guy in real life. He spent a great deal of time. Wanted to look after neglected animals. He just was a soft soul and it came out in his songs. Thank you for that by the way, I appreciate you.
Another good one Alan. I must admit I didn't know anything about Billy Fury (much too young ...ha ha), but even so I always enjoy your videos and learn from them. At least I know a lot more about Billy now. What a beautiful grave he has and obviously people still make sure there are fresh flowers there so that proves what a legend he must have been and what a genuinely nice person (especially caring so much about wild life). Thanks Alan.
Hello Louise, I also didn't know a great deal about him. Just some facts but I didn't realise it was such a big star and such a nice person. A very sensitive man. That's the beauty of making these films. You get a glimpse of the real person not just the showbiz. Thank you ever so much for taking the time. Alan
Great video. There was a period in Billy's life when his career nosedived and he was reduced to gigs in pubs. This was in the early seventies. I went to see him in a pub on a Saturday night in north Birmingham it was £1 to get in. It was a good show. His career later arose again and pub gigs we again a thing of the past.

I was never a Billy Fury fan as I think I was that little bit too young. However he was a great talent and as ever even if you aren’t a fan it’s always fascinating to listen to what you have to say about that particular artist and their life. I must add what a beautiful grave and so well kept with absolute love which is always so nice to see. Thanks❤️
Hello John, wasn't it super refreshing to see such a lovely grave that's well kept after all those years. There's quite a few that are getting neglected. Even other people were very well known but this was super good observations. Thank you, Alan
I liked Billy, in my early teens i used to look in my parents wardrobe mirror with my collar up doing the actions, My mum had the same health condition she contacted at age 12, had an opperation in later life, lucky she lived to late 70's of age. I did have a couple of his singles at the time.
I don't remember him as such only when tv shows old programmes. He sounds like a nice caring guy. Such a beautiful grave and very well kept. Another lovely video Alan. A very attractive and well tended burial plot. I like the colour of the stone and the little blue/ purple chippings, and the proximity of the grave to the path. Although I’m familiar with Billy Fury and some of his hits, I wasn’t really a fan, or someone who would buy his records. That said, I appreciate his talent and contribution to the music industry. Coincidentally, I sometimes meet up with some of my wife’s friends in Nottingham. The husband of one of the ladies she knows is a musician and promoter in a Billy Fury tribute show, “Halfway to Paradise” featuring some of the band’s original members from The Tornados, with Colin Gold playing Billy Fury. ✌️& ❤️
It was a superbly well kept pretty looking grave. I agree Paul but I like the bit where the tribute band as some of the original members in they must be quite old because then are going back 60 years to when they probably originate played well done them ! Thanks for the very interesting comment Alan
Billy also had a House here in Wales. A friend of mine bought it back in the 90s. In the Attic was a load of books on Wild Birds . Also it had Stables. One thing I remember well about the house was the kitchen was pink. It was said a close lady friend of his wanted it that colour. On the Drive way up to the house was a stream with a Tree Stump . It was told to me Billy use to sit there to write songs. Also in the Down stairs bathroom were a few well know signatures on the Wall. My friend Karen no longer lives there now. She sold up and Moved to Hay-On -Wye. Very famous for second hand Books.
Just subscribed, you have a nice channel. Billy was and always will be, one of my favourite artists. I'm 76, and I can remember Billy from the start of his career. I saw him live on numerous occasions. Thank you.

Although the Silver Beatles didn’t get the gig backing Billy, Larry got them to back one of his other artists Johnny Gentle on a short tour. Billy & Ringo were in the same class at school at one point.

Another nicely presented video Alan. As I live not too far from Mill Hill, I visited Billy’s grave only a few weeks ago. friends dad was the gardener caretaker and lived in a flat above the garages workshops in the grounds just inside the gates , so have seen Billys grave on a number of occasions its always kept well ,
Just after we lost him and we went to the Cemetery, the flowers were fantastic in the Entrance. Over the years, it has not looked so good, but I can still see the flowers in my mind. Also just inside the entrance, on each side, the beds have been kept in lovely condition. Each time we go, 3/4 times a year, I take a photo of them.

All the tracks on The Sound of Fury where all written by Billy. In the film That’ll be the day the drummer in Stormy Tempest was Keith Moon and I believe the pianist was Marty Wilde although Marty doesn’t appear in the credits. There is a statue of Billy Albert dock in Liverpool. Good and informative video 👍
The money for the Statue was raised by The Sound of Fury Fan Club, along with his Mum and Brother, Relatives, Friends and Fans from all over the world.
