When we lived in the TRNC we had a Kangol which lived for 13yrs as well as an Akbash dog 🐕🐩 which lived to be a good age ,have to say the pair of them were very loyal as well as being good guard dogs,plus we also had a German Shepherd dog 🐶 and Husky.

they're a turkish breed called Kangal sheperd, a livestock guardian dog, they're huge when fully grown and said to have the most powerful bite of all domestic dogs, they can kill bears and big wolves. They need a lot of movement, challenge, training and room, so definitely not a house pet, even if they look cute as puppies.

Bonsoir, est-ce que Thor est un Berger d'Anatolie ? Il est magnifique. Merci de nous partager toutes ces belles vidéos et de nous faire connaître toutes ces races superbes. Pour ma part, j'ai un Berger Allemand (Saru - 16 mois), 2 Cavaliers King Charles (1 femelle Nyota 4 ans et 1 mâle Neeleex 2 ans) et un chat européen (Plume - 7 ans). Tout mes animaux sont stérilisés et pucés, c'est tellement important de pouvoir les retrouver si ils arrivaient à se sauver !!! Entretanto, pela minha experiência com cães percebo que todo cão tem características advindas de sua raça, mas também sua própria personalidade, assim como os seres humanos. Cães da raça pitbull, geralmente, são temidos por sua fama de cães ferozes. Mas, dependendo de como são criados, eles podem ser muito dóceis e amigáveis. Aqui no bairro onde moro tem um rapaz que possui um cão dessa raça. As pessoas olham com medo para ele quando está passeando com seu tutor e tendem a passar bem distante. Eu, geralmente tenho uma boa ideia do comportamento dos cães, tanto que na primeira vez que eu o vi, eu o acariciei. E, no próximo encontro, ele se lembrou de mim e me pediu um abraço. Achei surpreendente! Não me deixei levar pelo estigma da raça e fiz amizade, tanto com o tutor quanto com o cachorro. Atitudes como essa me faz crer que dependendo muito da forma como o cachorro é criado e socializado, ele pode se tornar pacífico ou feroz. Eu nunca vi um kangal, aqui no Brasil e nem em outros locais. Acredito, que existe uma proibição, de envio, desses animais ao exterior, pelo governo da Turquia, para que possam ser protegidos geneticamente, e assim preservando o patrimônio cultural turco. Perfeitamente legítimo! Tendo em vista esses fatos, fiquei muito emocionada ao ver esse lindo filhote no canal do Tugay. E vendo a docilidade do filhote, tive vontade de acariciá-lo também. Todavia, somente posso contemplar esse lindo vídeo!

One learns something new every day...I didn't know about Aksaray/Siva dogs, they're turkish breeds I had never seen, wow they're so big! But 115 kgs is a lot, never seen a dog that big around 😊 it must be very expensive to feed these dogs, so kudos to people who decide to have one of these dogs.
And thanks to Dr. Tugay as usual for all he does for these wonderful creatures 💛💚
