I'm the kodama saka player. The main reason tatyova is out currently is because we don't need the redundancy there. Both are considered "wincons" while comboing off with kodama triggers and I've been testing limiting redundancy to instead have more options in our toolbox of cards that win with kodama and saka on the field though different situations.. That also opened up more room for interaction and ramp...Aesi is better because we prefer 6 drop kodama triggers and the extra land helps alot. So far this seems to have been a positive change in my list based on this tourney and being in the high 20s at top deck expo
The Ob player here. Cauldron is for the Balista/Cauldron combo with the commander. I definitely find myself more on the midrange side of Ob compared to other pilots and rely more on being able to capitalize on timing.
I just put your list together, been meaning to build the deck for a while now and finally got around to it. We have a local charity event this Sunday I'm excited to give the deck a spin!
Good looking list, I can tell you’ve done your fair of testing and fine tuning. Many players miss the mark and the objective with Ob. You understood the assignment. It’s a slightly more explosive but less volatile Talion imo, the Rakdos way.
i love that some of Ob list won some tournament, im maining him from his release and i love the deck, once i was at some version of your list, but rn i cut tons of cards u play, but have it goes the same way of midrange grinding kind of shit, congrats mate 💖
It helps, but with otawara and a million ways to bounce lands, we never have to worry about decking ourselves with tatyova... Although the may trigger was still a small part of why it beat out tatyova
Heliod player here. The only RoL effects I’m running are deafening and ethersworn (and sorta sphere) as those let me do my thing, interact, and allow other players to interact as well. Hard RoL effects have thrown more games than won games for the user and I’m sure 99.9% will agree. For those reasons, I run EVERY silence effect as those are better than RoL in the meta and other interaction and stax. Which doesn’t allow me to play sanctum. As I’ve found myself locked out from interacting. So it was cut for hourglass because tivit and rog/si mostly. Tocasias welcome is the second best draw engine in the deck. Each stax piece cantrips which is great. Collectors vault is ok. But I’m fiending for more draw, so I’ll take what I can, and I can flash this in also.
Drafna is cool in Urza to replay the one ring if creature combos are a problem, and can remove the trinisphere if urza is removed and there's a window for a kitten or hullbreaker combo

Entirely unrelated but just had an epiphany th as t brago king eternal might be an atraxa card. Idk maybe imma try that shit though. Cuz it'll be goofy af til he starts drawing me more cards than the one ring.

Kodama/Sakashima has always been one of the absolute coolest decks imo

That Ob list runs Agatha’s as a part of a combo with ballista/ob to do infinite damage

in SakaDama, Aesi's landfall trigger is a MAY, whereas Tatyova's is compulsory, so Aesi is chosen in order to not deck yourself while going infinite.
