Mingyu couldn't dance when he audutioned for Pledis, it was a learned skill. Just like Seungcheol auditioned as a singer, but was moved to rap. They are amazing, of course! Very adaptable boys.
I think maybe performance unit need to have choreographing skills to begin with(altough Hoshi is the main choregrapher) despite Mingyu is a talented dancer, maybe he chose himself to be in hip hop team, (but I'm sad too that he barely had lines). What amaze me is he always keep his lively and bright expression even tough he dances literally 70% in the back. Being in the group that have so many members must be so tempting to slack off and being lazy (due to lack of spotlight and center time) But he chose not to slack off even for one beat (no one in seventeen does, btw). Mingyu is precious, seventeen will be great legend one day.
