I actually have a theory of how they could bring him back if they wanted to get another actor or if he wanted to come back someday. It could be that Jack was trapped inside of the mountain after the avalanche, and it was a different mountie up there who got crushed. So he survived up on the mountain, in a cave with an ex mountie or something who took care of him, and after him healing up, they find a way to get out and come down. It would add a ton of drama to the show, especially if she was re married at that point. But they could also use that as the dream plot, and could be a way of her finally letting go of Jack.
@@cameronzemail that’s a good storyline, but I don’t know how convincing a different actor to play Jack would be after all this time. I don’t understand why the creators of the show don’t replace the actors that leave. Like Abigail, she was the heart of Hope Valley and left unexpectedly. They could easily have replaced her and kept her storyline going.
@@Sofia-The-First I actually hate when creators do stuff like that. If you have to replace the actor do it only for long enough to kill the character (like 5 minutes of an episode) then replace them with a new character.

The creator of WCTH did a great job in slowly easing Jack out of the picture. He started to appear less and less as season 5 came to its end. The cast and story line were truly fantastic and would continue well with or without Jack. Hoping for many seasons to come. I have enjoyed watching Elizabeth, Lee, Bill, Rosemary, Abigail, Dr. Shepherd and Faith and the kids so much. Congrats to WCTH.

When calls the heart is in my top favourite shows if not my favourite show of all time. Binge watched the series in days. Don't think I've cried over a character like I did when Jack died. I can't seem to get over the people in Hope Valley.
One of the best family series ever made.
Really wish there was a way to bring Jack back. He had such a great chemistry with Elizabeth.
After watching when calls the heart, I feel like I can't settle for less. True love is beautiful and I pray I experience that one day

No amount of begging is going to bring Daniel back as Jack. Let him go, wish him well, and give Hallmark a chance. The show is still awesome. And, I didn't think the show could survive without Jack, or without Abigail... but it is, and it's thriving. And, we still get to see Daniel on screen. I watch the Rookie, and he's great in it!

everything was perfect in the series, the romance between jack and elizabeth. I didn't like to be killed in season 5. I'm furious about it.

So he can say that the mud slide took him to an old laydy and she helps him but he broke a men amd lost his memory till he sees Elizebith and then he will remember everything...
And he was not really invthe grave cause he was in the mudslide amd the old woman helped him remember where he was from... And so know he can be in the show!!!

He seems much happier and relaxed although I’m not quite convinced he doesn’t have a tinge of regret when he talks about Jack and Elizabeth especially when baby Jack is brought up. I wish him all the best from his home country but I have to admit I can’t stand Rookie Blue. Hope to see him in a more serious role in the future. Good luck Dan and we miss you so much.

I lost the urge to watch the series with Jack's departure. I'm not even going to watch it anymore! The best of the series was the couple Elizabeth and Jack, without them lost all the charm.

It still makes no sense and the real reason he left was not explained because he hadn't met his fiance yet, so why did he really leave? I had a theory that he was in love with Erin but she was unavailable so he thought it too hard to stay and work with her. Check back to all the times they were doing press, they were so touchy feely. One time she even sat on his lap, they seamed so comfortable with each other.... wow what a missed opportunity.

I have a difficult time respecting someone who leaves a show who has fans that are committed to their character. I understand career changes and that life happens but come on. This was not a supporting role it was a main character. It’s just not professional. I’d think twice before casting him in other shows. I’d alway worry that he’d leave the project. Sry friend. Nothing personal, just business.

This is only a clip to the interview. I saw another part of the interview and he never knew his character would become so big...plus he doesn't want people to think him leaving ruined the show. I think he's trying to bring the other actors to light and that he wasn't the focus of the show.
You really do not miss him then if you think like that yes it is hard to accept he left . During the time he was thinking about leaving he said his grandpa was sick and he passed so maybe he left because he was mourning his grandfather i think if we love all these actors in the show we must accept and respect that we have to let go sometimes it is his life we should be happy for him .

I just finished watching the first 5 seasons of wcth and cried all the way through the episode where Jack died. I just love Daniel! I love his Aussie accent. I haven’t watched The Rookie, but I’m not crazy about his being part of a “threesome” on SWAT. So not Jack. I love his being excited about wedding planning and getting married! ❣️
He is not cut out to do the other show! It does not do him justice and it changes my entire image of him..he needs to play in romance and honor roles with a beautiful woman like Erin!

I don’t understand why they just didn’t replace Lori with another actress. A relationship with Henry Gowen was starting to bloom and then she was gone. Also the boy who played Cody would have kept his job. Henry Gowen and Bill Avery are good looking men with no real storylines. Love is wasted on the young.
Catherine Crowther they should have just replaced Lori with another actress. She had a great storyline and a lot was left unfinished. Also sad for the boy that played Cody to lose his job like that.

I love this series and can't stop crying for Elizabeth on loosing Jack.He has to come back.Maybe they could not identify him in mud slide and got the wrong person and Jack had amnesia for a couple of years someone found him and looked after him.Then memory comes back.O I do miss that love affair of jack and Elizabeth.Come on Daniel come back.
