You guys need waaaay more attention for this masterpiece of an album. 2020 was an incredible year for metal realeases and i guess the metal press overlooked this radioactive gem. Hope you guys realise how fucking incredible Nuklearth is!! Special shoutout to the mixing and mastering!
The drum sound you talk about is his second piccolo snare, which he uses to accent the part I guess: Stocki writes some crazy and experimental drum parts
I personally like it when drummers use two snares... I think it's becoming more common now in metal I guess...The guys from signs of the swarm did that as well on their latest album and it actually sounded pretty fine, but I think it's just a matter of taste...
If you liked this, you absolutely have to check out Disentomb, they play melodic brutal death metal they dub as "sloom", I feel like this they are a band that unfortunately flew under your radar and it's a massive disservice to not check them out. The title track of their newest album "The Decaying Light" is what I would say would be a great first track to check out.
@GALACTICRIMINAL as for your comments about the snare, he has two snares, one tight, and the other very very tight. The ringy snare is very slam esque. these two snares are wayyyyy better than lars's snare where he just turned the snares off on the bottom like an idiot. you're going to hate me for this but the 311 drummer started this tight snare sound and it evolved into slam and now death metal and deathcore drummers have used it ever since. especially me. i still play drums and have a CRANKED ORANGE PICCOLO SNARE I LOVE THAT RING IF YOU CAN TUNE IT CORRECTLY.
I know you have done a Parkway Drive track in the past, and may not have been the biggest fan. But I was wondering if you would check out the Live Video of the track called 'Swing' from Vans Warped Tour. I believe the specific video is on the Impericon channel. Peace brother ✌️
man if you don't react to Chernopolis and Redefining Zenith you're doing yourself a disservice lol Gammageddon was easily the best album from 2017 in my opinion
I liked Radiophobia but I overlooked Gammageddon... But when I eventually got around to listening to it, I don't know why I held out because it's a smashing good album lol
Imma let you finish, but anyone else SUPER FUCKING STOKED for Orbit Cultures drop next friday? But that Cytotoxin was a fun banger, great guitar fingering, could have used a bit more variety in the solo portions, driving tempo and vocals were a solid/consistent growl. Would definitely mosh to this
Thanks for your reaction! All of us in the band really enjoyed it!
Im glad. I CLEARLY enjoyed it aswell 🤘🤪🤘
Underrated 🤘🏻

Cytotoxin is one of the best bands IMO
The drum sound you talk about is his second piccolo snare, which he uses to accent the part I guess: Stocki writes some crazy and experimental drum parts
i think he is talking about his main snare, it sounds pretty St.Angery.. the piccolo side snare though sounds like... a piccolo Snare :D

Didn't like the 2nd snare at first but now its growing on me.

Add abysm nucleus to that
Sweeps, bass licks, and machine gun drums? I fucking live for that snare tone. Reminiscent of early All Shall Perish days.
Thanks you so much for this!

You're thinking of Metallica's St. Anger album where the drums sound horrendous
For the likes of you have a new one. Not sure it would make a good vid. But worth checking out just for the breakdowns. Lol
Didnt like it
Felt way too long. Two minutes in I was checking the time. Not a good sign. Started strong though
@@todd_halfacre Started strong then became an "every deathcore band starting out" song. Not anywhere NEAR the level of Forlorn
