Honestly, a kid who is nice and polite out in the world and kind of a pain in the ass at home is the best-case scenario. It means you were good enough parents to ensure they knew how to be a functioning member of society and decent person, while also creating a home environment where they feel comfortable enough to not always have to be their best self.
@@djervalevy9784 Didn't Mike get Axl a car just so he could impress a girl? And Frankie always wants to come to big events in Axl's life, much as he'd prefer otherwise. They may not be the best parents but they're hardly the worst either.
They get less attention because they can handle their responsibilities for the most part, besides brick in the early seasons. Axl would crash and burn without their attention
@@kingkongchief1177 Alright, but just because your kid is academically successful doesn't mean they should receive less attention. Even non-academically, Axl receives the most attention. Brick ad Sue get forgotten by their parents on numerous occasions, but Axl never does.
They’re not mad he proved them wrong. They’re mad bc he showed he can be mature, polite, and respectful, he understands how he’s perceived and how to shape up - which means he could be polite at home, he just won’t bother.

It proves a point: Pearents who have expectations that are hard to meet are hard to please, whereas a kid who tries his hardest does well by himself.
I still feel like Axl could stand to be a slightly better self around his family. 😉
@@theadaptationstationmaster His family is terrible, so why should he? It's not like Mike and Frankie are loving or caring.

@@theadaptationstationmaster To be fair, they named their son "Axl." I mean, at that point, you're kind of bringing it on yourself...
Mike and Frankie always argue with Axl, but it's clear he's the favorite. Brick and Sue never get as much attention as he does.
I think that's more because he's the hardest to reach out to rather than him being the favourite.
The both have said he is their a

That’s cause Axls an idiot who sucks at academics so they have to focus on him the most. Brick and Sue have no issues with academics.

"OK, I'm liking the words but confused by the bulging neck veins."

He got the vice versa correctly

Typical of parents to get upset when their kids prove them wrong. Who are they really mad at?
