David - thanks so much for your research and for this video. I'm a direct descendant of James Henderson (1708-1784), the brother of Samuel, William and John. I spent this very morning at the church office of Augusta Stone Church researching the Henderson family. Yesterday I found the land that James Henderson settled on in 1747. The church and this site on the Middle River are within three miles of where I have lived the past 20 years (near Fort Defiance). I think the Hendersons of early Augusta County, VA would be proud that their descendants are researching their lives some 250 years later. Job well done sir. BTW - I produced a series of TH-cam videos on my own namesake branch of the tree that is very similar to yours. They may be found searching for "Ishee Family History."
Thanks so much for this insight! I'm a direct descendant of Alexander Henderson who helped start the Paint Lick (Kentucky) Presbyterian Church in the community of Manse. I'm sure we're related somehow, but there were more Alexander Hendersons than you could shake a stick at during those times, and am having a confusing time tracing back much further. Thank you again!
Hello, chanced upon this video, I am a direct descendant of William Bell, known as Stone Church, who died 1757.in Augusta County. William arrived in the Beverly Patent when he purchased a previously settled plat of 196 1/2 acres from Francis McCune in 1746. This tract adjoined that of John Lewis. William's son David, married Susannah Henderson, sister of Florence Henderson, wife of William Henderson. William's youngest son Joseph, married Elizabeth Henderson, daughter of the above William and Florence Henderson. David and family moved to Kentucky, Joseph and family remained in Augusta County. My line originated from William's son Samuel whose grandchildren moved to Eastern Indiana in 1832. Other than the names of the Henderson named above, I have little information about William and Susannah.
They couldn’t call it a church because it wasn’t Anglican, they had to call it “Meeting House” You might want to cover this as religious freedom wasn’t like people think before the Revolution.

I can't believe I'm only now discovering this channel! I'm from the same family line, including Samuel Henderson and John Andrew 😅
I'm related to just about every family from Beverly Manor in some way. I am a direct descendant of Andrew Russell. Thanks for the video!
That’s impossible
