Also not mentioned and correct me if I'm wrong. Only Chevy has stayed with a steel bed floor while the sides are aluminum.
Perfect video. Most of them are leaving out things like the 120 volt outlet in the back corner of the bed. I'm probably 1,000 miles south of Minnesota though and having a problem finding one of these in cajun red.

Yeah, my 2017 Silverado LTZ Z71 also came with that mean Z71 front badging. Then, when I went under the truck to do my first oil change, I discovered that the engine shield was made out of plastic. Nice job, GM!
i climbed under my 2015 Z71, found the same thing. what a shame.
I agree. Especially when my first Silverado, a 2003, had a steel skid plate for the motor.

I'm thinking anything would be better than plastic. Take off the plastic shield and use it as a template. I did a Google search for a metal replacement. I didn't have any luck finding one. I remember that guy had a syndicated show on truck/car mods. Stacie was his name. In one show he took the metal shield of a truck, thinking it was sub-standard for protection. And he replaced with one, probably 3 times the weigh and gauge.

For the price of that thing, the only off roading it will see is a hard packed dirt road.

I didn't notice this till I bought mine lmaoo. Just assumed since drivers had power so did passenger seat.. epic fail
@bradyrad Other than the manual seat I have no issues with the truck.. better in every way than my 2009 and 2015 GMC slt/all terrain. Only thing I think it should have is a front and rear locker seeing as it's a off road package.. but the g80 still gets the job done for the most part, I do miss the old Chevy body style though.. new one blacked out is nice but not as nice as older generation.

Y'all have fun with that GM 8 speed transmission. My 2019 Silverado LTZ started having transmission issues at 450mi. GM won't acknowledge the problem that has been going since 2015 so YOU ARE STUCK!
