Thank you for this great idea! I had to get a biscuit maker too. Lol. I love these little appliances and am always looking for new ways to use them. Sometimes I like to make a cinnamon roll biscuit. I add cinnamon sugar and raisins to the biscuit dough and after it’s baked, I top with a glaze of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. So good with coffee.

@@stevelogan5475 thank you for your kind words. Ken Click has a couple of easy, good looking recipes for biscuits but I've never seen anyone online makes mayo biscuits. Such a good idea-thank you for sharing. I don't make biscuits as often because I end up with too many for the two of us but this is the perfect solution. Thanks so much Ken for sharing this. I use your basic idea to make gluten-free biscuits (=scones in UK). I use 5g oil instead of butter (not as nice, but healthy), 75g SR gluten-free flour, and 45g milk. Also use a Giles & Posner single pie maker, as Dash pie makers won't work in UK (I found out the hard way!). I think any pie maker should work but NOT the deep fill (9cm tall) ones, because the centre won't cook ( I found out the hard way!). So at last I can make a fresh bread/biscuit/scone that's SO easy (as you rightly say) and doesn't need shaping, or the oven on, for one! So, I really appreciate your lovely helpful video. Thanks from☺️ 🇬🇧
The only thing that would make that biscuit better would be to use buttermilk instead of whole milk. 😊 I usually make mine and cook them in my 10 in. cast iron skillet but this would be great if I only wanted to make 1 or 2 at the time. Also, I can save myself some time and work by grating the butter like you did instead of slicing it up and having to cut it up in the flour. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thank you! BTW, your biscuits looked so yummy.
Since my oven conked out, an Emeril Lagasse mini pie and cupcake maker has been my baking device. I use it to make small batch breakfast muffins but they do take some getting used to in terms of proper timing. I bet your pie maker would work well for mug cakes too. Sometimes one freshly made serving is all we want and need. But Ken.....where's the sausage gravy for that fine looking biscuit?
the rice maker should work out to accomplish the gravy ;) I'd say do in the pie maker, but while it'd be ok for cooking the sausage... you'd need 2-3 'batches' to make the gravy ;)

Great video Ken. With regard to the English lady below - Sultanas are called Golden Raisins here. I am originally from the U.K. and remember how confusing the different names were.
Reminds me I have a Breville unit that makes 4 mini pies like this. It's been packed up since we moved a few years ago, but I used to make blueberry 'muffins' in it using pancake mix. I'll have to head down to the basement and find it!
I’ve wondered about these gadgets and now I’ll have one :). Hubby doesn’t like biscuits so this is perfect. Also I think this would be great for little homemade pot pies of every kind; hubby hates those too but I love them, Yum! Thanks for the video :)
Since the self rising flour sold around here has scary sounding ingredients... I can use the regular size batch and make 1 or two then save the batter for another day. Thank you for the tutorial 🙂
Its an English scone, best if you add a tiny bit of salt too. Never thought to make mine this way thank you. Jam and thick cream is great with a cup of tea!

Ken!!!! I made these and they came out PERFECT omggg thank you bless you
They are very good! Thanks for commenting!
Great video Ken. With regard to the English lady below - Sultanas are called Golden Raisins here. I am originally from the U.K. and remember how confusing the different names were.
🙂👍
One day I will get me one of the little pieces makers, I hope. This looks like something I would use a lot
✅🙂
Reminds me I have a Breville unit that makes 4 mini pies like this. It's been packed up since we moved a few years ago, but I used to make blueberry 'muffins' in it using pancake mix. I'll have to head down to the basement and find it!
Sounds like a good idea!
Hey Mr ken we doing ur biscuits again tonight for sabbath God bless u thank u again for always sharing keep them coming ❤

Wow, cool! Looks yummy! I will try it one day. Good Job!
Please do!
I’ve wondered about these gadgets and now I’ll have one :). Hubby doesn’t like biscuits so this is perfect. Also I think this would be great for little homemade pot pies of every kind; hubby hates those too but I love them, Yum! Thanks for the video :)
Glad you liked the video!
so much hate in that relationship! ........ :(
I don't get how anyone can hate biscuits and pot pies. Are you sure he's alright? 😊
@@mortsnerd5100 nope, not alright 🤣😂🤣. To be fair his parents were “city people”. Mine were not :)
Got mine for $14.99 on sale at Target.
Just use the microwave to reheat or keep multiples warm. Also, oat milk works well in place of whole milk.
Good deal! Thanks for the tip.
ive said before but thankyou ken, i know it sounds lame but your videos are very calming and help with my anxiety thanks again
I'm pleased to be helpful in any way! 🙂 Thanks for watching and commenting!
I tried this and loved it! Thank you.
Glad to hear it!

Hai Ken. Thanks for sharing. Can I also use wheat flour?
I have not tried, but I don't see why not.
This so easy nd simple thank you Ken God bless
Thank you, and same to you!
What a cool little gadget that is!

Great! If you use my Amazon link let me know so I can thank you. 🙂
I would think that would work great in my van .
Yes it would!
I’m going to have to get one of those
✅
Buying one tomorrow ~ thanks for sharing ❤
✅🙂
I agree with @Virginia Valentin. Ken is the Biscuit Whisperer.
Thanks for your kind words!
How cute is that ! Perfect for one person . tfs 🥰🎃🍃🍂🍁🎃🌞🌛✝️
Yes, it is!
I'm going to buy one ,thank you
Enjoy!
Since the self rising flour sold around here has scary sounding ingredients... I can use the regular size batch and make 1 or two then save the batter for another day. Thank you for the tutorial 🙂
You are most welcome!
Probably could make jiffy corn muffins too in it. Cut 2 muffins in 4s for two. Just for you two. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, making some now.
Its an English scone, best if you add a tiny bit of salt too. Never thought to make mine this way thank you. Jam and thick cream is great with a cup of tea!
American biscuits are not the same as English scones. See here > www.allrecipes.com/article/scone-vs-biscuit/
@@KenClick English scones do not have sugar in them. Or where i come from in the UK. Savoury ones have cheese. Ive made your recipe and my basic English scone recipe and they taste the same
Fantastic for a quick bread. I have an omelette maker I wonder if it would work for the biscuits?
There is only one way to know. Give it a try!
@@KenClick I will do. It might not have the right shape though 🥴
Soooo good.
Glad you like it!
Thank that great
Thanks for watching!

Outstanding!
Thank you kindly!
Ken I ordered it from dash but now it’s listed on Amazon. It wasn’t on Amazon last week but they did list the other mini cookers.
Thanks.
Totally writing your recipes down. This is real southern cooking. None of the high processed mixes most people use. Its also great for single serve. I'm fixing to be a empty nester and these will come in handy. Thanks.
Great! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome 👍
Thanks 🤗
Ken I order one and I'm happy with my pie maker.💯
It's a great little cooker! Enjoy!
Ken, have you tried yeast bread dough in the pie maker?
No video yet.
Might have to see if my Walmart carries them! Could you make a video making a pie in it???
I will make a pie after I do a little more experimenting with the cooker.
Ken, have you experimented changing lard for butter? Buttermilk for regular milk?
Yes, all of those are interchangeable.
@@KenClick Thanks. What do you think is the best combo? Got my biscuit maker, I mean pie maker last week, using it like crazy, but going to start in on biscuits today.
@@BoulderCreekSteve I like butter because it is so easy to use and tastes great. Try all the different combinations and see which you like best.
