  • I decided to sit down and see If I could build one of these perpetual motion machines in order to do my part and help solve the worlds energy problems. I hope you enjoy the video. And this is for fun guys!! there's n osuch thing as a perpetual motion machine. No matter how good it is, eventually it will stop moving. Prove me wrong!!! hahaha. Later

Would love to know how long it was able to self sustain

I would say forever unless power went out. Haha

@@oldironfinder Oh you had it hooked up to power lol I must have missed that. Perpetual motion obviously doesn’t exist but I have seen simple machines similar to this that where able to generate some amount of electricity.

Yea. I made this video just for fun. I may make another one later with a much bigger flywheel. I kinda believe these will work to a point. But eventually they will stop unless some outside force is exerted on them to keep em moving.

@@oldironfinder I’ve always been interested in the concept as well. Technically in a way hydroelectric systems are perpetual unless acted on by an outside force and the earths rotation around the sun would be perpetual to most humans however both will obviously not function in perpetuity as the sun will eventually die and water flow changes. Even though “perpetual motion” isn’t technically possible in my mind if it functions for your entire lifetime it was perpetual for you haha.

Yes. I've always liked this concept too. I think it would be feasible. To a point. Even if you had something to run for x amount of time and then had an outside force act on it to get it going, you're technically still getting some "free" motion, which could be energy. Especially with enough flywheel. In my opinion
