    Awesome explanation, thank you! I'm a first time coach for my kid's 2nd grade team, never played. This is hugely helpful. Wish us luck!

    Thanks for this informative video. Quick question. When the term build from the back is used. Does that also mean the left and right defenders/ center mid are more competent/ skilled players?

    I like/prefer this 7v7 formation over any others. However, I treat those front four more as a diamond and call the outside players left or right Mid-wings to stress their obligations to defend as well as play forward and wide in the attack. And I call that CM both CM and Stopper to emphasize their obligations both to mind the midfield, and stop the opponent’s attack. Sometimes a position’s name can create the mindset for the player. 7v7 forced me to make up dumb shit for this reason.
    (I hate 7v7 because it lacks either front-back balance or left-right balance no matter what you do, but this formation is definitely my favorite.)

    what happens when the opposing team keeps moving all of their players to wherever the ball is? if you play positions/zones then you get outnumbered every time. when you try to score with two or three players, they have seven defending. when you try to defend with two or three, they have six.

    • @PANCHOSWAY
      @PANCHOSWAY 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      if they all crumbeled up they will be more in numbers but they will be too many people to get the ball up so once your team gets the ball back and passes it to your spread out players they will have so much space to go up that the other team will not be able to get them

    I like it, please Can you do the same video with 3 defence, 2 midfielder and 1 striker ? Thank you

    • @kevinroman7789
      @kevinroman7789  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In that situation your two midfielders would both be more central midfielders. They would still have to get wide but the attack would be mostly through the middle. You would use that formation if the other team has a strong attack or you are teaching your team to build out of the back. The defenders would have to get up the field higher to help the attack.
