MISSION
Hi I'm Dr. Marisan and in this channel I help you find your voice, master singing, and performing, in a safe and healthy way. Be it through reaction/analysis of great singers, mini vocal technique videos, or covers.
It is my passion sing and help up-and-coming singers achieve success in all aspects of singing and performing, from vocal technique to mental toughness. After more that 15 years of professional singing, teaching and finishing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance I want to continue to share my love of singing with you. ❤️

Mezzo-soprano and vocal coach, Dr. Marisan, has several degrees in music, vocal performance, vocal pedagogy, and music business from the New England Conservatory of Music, Hugh Hodgson School of Music, and Berklee College of Music. She has performed in Europe, Asia, North and South America, and the Caribbean in more than 13 languages. Dr. Marisan loves all genres of music and wishes to unite people through song!

Amazing as always, I've been asking for decades for people to react to Sisaundra Lewis audition from the voice, she is probably the best voice that has ever participated (Heard she even coached Celine Dion LMAO and she somehow did not won the voice. To say I’m not a Marcelito fan is not a factor, but I have a hard time getting into him because of how sterile his sound is, it’s like listening to elevator music or the background music in a mall. He has a good voice, but I think he needs to interject himself and stop trying to sound like the original song.
I love seeing people continue to appreciate Marcelito. I’d also love to see a reaction to his live cover of Despacito, as well as his performance with David Pomeranz!

Just flipped over from watching the Bass Singers reaction to this. Interesting to see you / both analysis side by side. My understanding is that Marcelito had absolutely no vocal training - is entirely self taught and of course, has perfect pitch.
One has to wonder where he might be today if he'd had formal training from early years, but what he's achieved, vocally and otherwise* in his life is TRULY GREAT.
# He was an abandoned street orphan by age 7, trying to care for a younger sibling, and was adopted by a policeman. Worked for his keep in many odd jobs, and whilst working in a poultry factory, around age 19, kept himself amused by singing, where everyone around him { except for the jealous one's who told him to shut up } told him; "You should be on TV!" So that's where he headed. He didn't succeed at his first few attempts, but persisted, and persisted... And persisted! Eventually winning Philippines Got Talent at age 26. From there he did a performance on the Wish Bus, got noticed by Ellen DeGeneres and invited onto her show, and from there invited onto AGT, eventually performing on AGT Champions show.
# Today, Marcelito is still a huge star in his home country and still causing jaws to drop all around the world, but his * CHARITY WORK with the poorest of the poor should grab our EQUAL ATTENTION { See 'Where is he now?} NOW? He is equally busy 'Giving Back'. Building basic shelters for and feeding the homeless.
# THEREFORE, I Encourage EVERYONE who has ever appreciated Marcelito's Stunningly Great Voice, to Also appreciate his Stunningly Great HEART - and go to his website and DONATE to his several Charity Projects. Every little bit can make such a big difference.

I have to agreed with many viewers that Marcelito sang a better version than Celin. It is a shame that no one offered him a contract in Vegas. He toured mostly small venues around the world.

Dr. Marisan, as you may know, Celine Dion is a French Canadian with French as her native language. She had to learn English to become the successful singer that she is. One of the English words with which she struggles is "love". She puts a very slight "r" sound in that word such that it comes out sounding very slightly like "lerv" or "lurv". Now, if you listen very closely to Marcelito's cover, you will hear him imitate her exactly. That apparently is because Marcelito's brain remembers exactly how something sounds which he then sings.
