  • Ahhhh! All of my law school decisions + a cycle recap. In this video I walk you through all of the law schools I applied to and where I got in as well as my LSAT and GPA. Also, at the end I tell you which school I ended up picking. This cycle of law school applications was very competitive due to the pandemic and I definitely got some crazy results. I am so excited to start law school in August! Let me know if there's any other content you'd like to see from me :)

      I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing LSAT test she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..

      Sometimes hard work doesn’t pay you have to back it up with smartness🤓, I think your cousin understood that perfectly

    What's the secrecy around sharing an LSAT score? That's why we watch, to gauge where people got accepted and with what gpa to see what our chances are with our stats. Congrats on the acceptances .

    • @GabrielleNoelle2
      @GabrielleNoelle2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      I think it's just a personal preference. I sometimes feel like people judge you based on LSAT score (whether it's too high or too low) in a way that is different than GPA, and I'd like to avoid that :)

      she said it's above median at nyu, so probably 171-2. Saying your Lsat score is not that big of a deal.

      @@GabrielleNoelle2 it kind of doesn’t matter practically for other applicants what your experience was if you don’t share your stats- it’s just a list of schools and a face that has no context at all. I guess it’s fine to have a little video journal for posterity, but it’s not very helpful for anyone else

    From the UK here and also deciding between duke and Cornell for my LLM😅 I have never been so torn in my life so can you share more about your thought process behind picking Cornell? I would love to chat about this

    • @GabrielleNoelle2
      @GabrielleNoelle2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not super aware of the differences between the LLM and JD programs at each school so take my advice with a grain of salt. However, I can speak to my experience that I just was more excited about Cornell than Duke! I felt I could relate to students better and also that the outcomes and school culture were more similar to what I wanted.

    How long did you wait after graduating college to apply to law school. In your opinion, do you think law schools prefer potential students to have applied right after college or to have applied after some work experience in your field.

    • @GabrielleNoelle2

      I took a year off to work, they definitely prefer students who have worked and firms certainly do too

    Where did you go for undergrad? Also, does perceived rigor of an undergraduate school compensate for a lower GPA?

    • @GabrielleNoelle2
      @GabrielleNoelle2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I went to Emory for undergrad. Schools say that undergraduate doesn't matter, but I do think that they often do compensate for lower GPA. However, GPA is still important to them regardless of where you went or what you studied!

  • @jakemoseley1811
    @jakemoseley1811 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I have a suggestion. I had a girlfriend who clerked at the supremes. At her law school she had the highest grades ever recorded. She told me that on exams she just regurgitated what professors said in class, never tilting to impose her own opinions. One advantage was that she taught herself shorthand in high school. So she could take verbatim notes. Writing down your notes rather than simply recording lectures helps stick it in your brain, I think. She also found shorthand useful when she worked as a lawyer. It doesn’t take that long to learn shorthand.
