Funny thing is. I was speaking too fast to the youngsters in the store. I meant to say 35 but I said 25!!! LOL. I didn't edit it out. I just left it in there. Yes. I was recently in Raleigh because my younger brother does Air Force duty out there. So yes. I frequent NC. Thanks for the love. IG me if ever you guys got something going on. I love NC too.

So glad to see you had a nice time in my homeland! I think the hot dog you ate is called a "mata niños". It has an interesting story. Also, when you order food, you might want to say "me da" or "me trae". "Tengo" means "I have". But that usage doesn't translate well to Spanish when ordering food and drinks. I like the confidence you carry being out and about. Even I don't feel that confident when I go to visit!!

Horchata de San Miguel: The Jicaro tree gives a seed that we call Morro. We get the Morro seeds, sesame seeds, cacao and roast them all together, then we grain it to a fine powder like mix. We now have the main ingredients for the Horchata. Now add the Horchata ingredients to water or milk and sugar, mix it really good (blender) and enjoy. Horchata has no peanuts in it and some people may add cinnamon for extra flavor too. From Redondo Beach, California since October 1981, but from San Miguel from 02/1966 to October 1981

My wife usually makes the Salvadoran Horchata with semilla de morro, but sometimes she tries to make the peanut version but hasnt mastered it. I've never tried them, but if you can try & rate a donut from Mister Donut-a chain store. As for a drinking straw, "Paja" is not used here in S. Texas we say "popote", a word thats, either a Northern Mexico thing or a all Mexico thing. But I know both MX n ES serve fresco- beverages in a bag with a straw in it. I gotta try some baked goods from that bakery one day, its a Migueleño must apparently, lol. Go Aguila!!!, the local Futbol team, black/orange jerseys. *Also, is there Shipleys Donuts in VA???? Its the other popular one here besides Krispy n Dunkin.

I ate a Mister Donut in Japan. It was alright. A little stale. It was not my favorite.
Popote huh? Gracia for that. Because without you I would have never known.
It's funny how in El Salvador, a straw is spelled "paja." But it's pronounced pah-ii-aa (pajia). Do you know why that is?
Ohh yes. I am aware of the Eagles (Aguila) fútbol team. I love the jerseys. Mister Donut is one of the sponsors.
I am not aware of Shipley's in Virginia.
