That is one of my favorite knives to it is such a fun knife. You are correct for the money you can't go wrong I highly recommend this knife to every one that likes big knives.
Odd that I should run across this today as I received the EF 915 a couple weeks ago. I know it may not be D2 as the blade is labeled but I'll find out after some use & sharpening. I really like the look & 8cr isn't that bad, especially for $27. Oh, gotta say this concerning the video, I like big blades & I cannot lie.LOL !
I have the ef 902 and it’s fricken amazing . Detent absolutely perfect and hangs before closing BUT it’s hard to fail to shut because the blade is heavy enough to drop shut
The Eafengrow EF905 is an awesome knife. Not sure about all the comments on D2 because several knife reviewers said the blade does actually test as D2. A Google search had several sites saying these tested as D2? So I am a bit baffled.? I own one of these and it has been an exceptional knife . And Eafengrow 3 years ago is it? Well is now a very respectable distributor. Eafengrow knives are well built. I own several of them. I also own a ZT and I have relied in it for some time as well. I purchased the Eafengrow because I wanted a knife I could use a lot and keep my ZT a little bit more pristine. I like this knife so much I now own a EF906 and am currently after a EF902.
Great overview my friend. A little beefy for my taste, but I can appreciate that it is what appears to be an original design (maybe takes some cues from others but still stands on its own). And I can appreciate you’re balanced view on the manufacturer. Thanks for sharing!!

I have three Efengrow blades. I like the designs, even though some are copies of well known designs from other companies, Microtech, ZT, etc. My biggest issue is that 5 out of 5 blades tested on the LVK channel here which claimed to be D2 ended up being an assortment of other, cheaper stainless steels. However, thanks for the review and a good looking blade!
After Amazon lost the 1st one in shipping I finally got mine. Finally a knife that almost fits my hand. If they only made the handle a 1/2 bigger.... this thing was already drop shut with the heavy blade, but after I took it apart and polished The bearing contact surfaces this thing is a scary finger guillotine with the pivot tightened all the way lmao believe me if you fail to get your fingers out of the way with this knife you're going to get stitches. The only gripe I have is they could have made the detent stronger with this heavy of a blade.
We have a couple eafens but im weary of them because they have been caught almost everytime atleast with d2 lying, it was more like 8cr13mov, one of mine is real and ones not. Neeves Knives - I’ve heard similar reports and read as much on some PMI charts. This one looks like it would hopefully be real deal D2. I may have to get one and send it in for testing just for fun 👍🏻.

I like the EF906 a little better The EF905 looks to have a slight re-curve to it if I'm not mistaken. What draws me to these knives is the beefiness of them. Thanks for the review.

The recurve is whats making me hesitant to buy it. I have a TSPROF K03 Sharpener and don't know if the 1" stones will work on this slight recurve.
I seen someone said kubey was a clone company, thats just not true at all , all there knives are there own designs, one knife they purchased a design from that had been sold to other companies, that was one of there first knives, if not the first. That being said Kubey is a great company. And doesnt clone knives. And you can speak directly to them, and are great to deal with. They have manufacturing in the us and the knives on amazon comes right from kubeys or you can get them directly from there site kubey. Sorry to go on a banter 😆

It can be pretty tough to do reviews on companies like Eafengrow, but you did an excellent job here balancing the reputation of the brand with the quality of the product. Eafengrow will probably never get any of my money, but I can definitely see the appeal of this particular knife.
Err..I had to take mine apart to clean it. I reassembled it with both washers on either side in the slots on the tang but the action is so stiff I can barely open it. What am I missing?
I've been tempted but have not purchased an Eafengrow. Sounds like they just might be decent knives. This one is just too huge for me but one of their smaller ones perhaps. Great video!

They have a well earned terrible reputation. But.. they don't make knives, at all, they but and rebrand knives. So every once in awhile they release a good knife.
Why do these people alter and modify the knives before doing a review? Do your review of the knife in its stock, out of the box condition then go to it, customizing them all you want. Jeez!!
Well.. couple of things here. 1st I had this knife a long time before I decided to start a channel. Now days I do review a lot of "stock" knives, but still every so often I review a knife I've had awhile and so you guys see it as I carry it. That's just the way it goes.
I'll spare you my full thoughts on clone trash companies like Eafengrow, Kubey, Sanrenmu, and Ganzo. I do love big ass knives though. I carry massive knives all the time. I carried My Cold Steel Code 4 on a movie date yesterday because I'm in California and I like to scare liberals. Plus if the girl is freaked out by my big damn knife then she isn't the right one for me. I need a girl who sees a big ass knife and buys herself one or asks for one as a christmas gift

I think it's Eafengrows reputation for mislabeled blade steel that is the issue. They're notorious for it. I love my EF series knives same as you.

It is NOT light the titanium is very thick. It's still a great knife for the money

Yu shd not review knives yu dont like. EF is good company. Value blades at low price. Sounds like yu need to review medford or Spyderco 🔪🔪
