The Farmory - Yellow Perch Fish Hatchery

- This is an update on the Farmory, a community based urban farm in Green Bay, WI., and the obstacles they overcame to become a commercial yellow perch fish hatchery.
It's a story for anyone interested in the adventure behind hatching yellow perch eggs, getting the larvae fish to eat and fill their swim bladder with a gulp of air, and to raise yellow perch fingerlings in a bio-secure system.
The Farmory is a community base urban farm for training and educating the community on self-sufficiency, growing healthy food, and developing skills for employment.

Hello, I real like this program and I can't miss to subscribe. I am a fisherman for almost 15 years but I haven't got a chance to study fish hatching and here it is so much interesting. I wish I join you. I real like fish in my life and like to study about it.
I only do the filming and editing. I don't raise fish.
Just like the Zander..
Can you feed them carp larval?
When will they have fish available? The website says sold out.
I don't work for the Farmory, so I'm not sure, but from what I've heard they hope to get eggs around May or so. I think it takes a week or so to hatch, 29 days to become 1" fingerlings, and about 3 weeks to size for selling. So, perhaps late July they'll have fingerlings to sell again. This video tells a little bit about the cycle. They have a 12 week class starting very soon. th-cam.com/video/YGsa76YqNn4/w-d-xo.html
What does it take to join you?
She repeated everything three times...
Thanks for editing comment... Much of the repetition is from me in editing. Some intentional (the opening minute), some for other reasons.
