Omg... My all time favorite thing to do as a kid was to play "office" too! I loved having my dad's leftover office supplies, business cards, fake phone, etc. I'm still obsessed with stationery and office supplies to this day. Haha! Great video...thanks for sharing! :) Amber ....oh and now I work in an office in my "real life"....and girl, I cried this week too. 😩

My DollarTree is moving to a new location so I am living vicariously through haul videos until it reopens in 2 weeks! You are right, kids don't play like they used to. We used to play school, teller, store keeper for hours. Awe well.

Love your haul! One of my favorite things to play was house. My parents have a huge front porch and my sister and I would take baby dolls and other toys out to the porch and play all day. We acted like the porch was our house.

Your comments regarding playing office really made me think about my childhood. I'm in my fifties and playing office or school was so much fun. I guess all that playing office prepared me for office work that I have done for over 30 years. Also, I have been doing a marathon of your videos and now I want to go to the Dollar Tree as often as I can. I've organized my kitchen cabinets and all of my cake supplies with Dollar Tree finds. I went to Michaels last night and bought a Happy planner and can't wait to get started on 2017. Keep up the videos, I love them!

Loved hearing about you and your brother playing "bank teller". Brings back so many memories! Makes me want to make sure I play like that with my son. We loved playing grocery store. Funny how now as an adult I hate going to the grocery store but was so fascinated by it as a kid!

My favorite game to play as a kid was court. I was always the judge. I would take a plastic bin and use that as my desk. I had a big huge teddy bear and he was always my bailiff! And all my stuffed animals had to go to court lol. Those were the good old days!

I played bank too! I loved that old fashion way of depositing! Nice memory you brought up! Sometimes cashier with an upside down egg carton for a register. Mostly though, I use to play office! Using stickers and papers; Someone let me have an old type writer and later an old adding machine and I had my pretend office business going. I also played post office with left over boxes that had dividers and I'd stamp papers and envelopes and put them in the cubbies. Outside I played detective, since I was 3 with my sisters! We'd play Charlie's Angels. Spying on neighbors and passers by, up in the tree, or hiding behind cars ;)

When we "arrived" at our destination, we would move in and decorate our new apts on either side of the couch. We would also play school, where I was the teacher and he was the student. And at lunchtime, we would play restaurant. I would take his order and prepare his meal. Our days were filled with imaginative play. 😊

Yes to playing office, and using return envelopes that came in junk mail, and those Ed McMann sweep stakes were great because they came with stickers! Or those VHS orders, where there were little stickers of the movies. So fun! My sister and I also spent a whole summer cutting out Cathy comics from the daily paper and glued them all in a folder, so it was like our own book. It was Cathy and Irving's vacation... I still have it tucked away somewhere. Simple fun, good times... :)

My favorite games to play were bank, shop, and house, I was the cashier and my mom and grandmom made (it seemed to me at least) 500 different things we could buy out of cardboard and paper and my dad and granddad made a conveyor belt and a cash register (out of this really old calculate, you know the one with the paper that fed through it?) and they used to go through the paper and the inserts you can get out of them and coupons to give us so we could save money on our purchases. It made playing house seem real to us because we have to go shopping and buy our food and go to the bank. It really was our (my older brother, younger sister, and our cousin who lived with us plus whatever friends were over at the time) favorite game. I didn't realize until years later that they were being sneaky and teaching us to budget and use coupons and how to balance checkbooks. It really was just fun for us.

I used to love playing "teacher" with my friends. We would do pretend bulletin boards and projector sheets. It's so funny because looking at us you would have assumed we would grow up to be teachers... and I work in construction management. Gosh I miss those relaxed days where the toughest decision to make was rugrats or a disney channel original movie lol.

I loved to climb trees, and loved when we lived in the country and my Daddy built us 2 tree houses in different giant oak trees and put a zip line between them. We didn't have helmets or safety harnesses, but we had the best time ever!!! :) The big app everyone is playing now is Pokemon GO. Even the Air Force base had pokemon stops in the security forces office. It's crazy! Thanks for sharing! 💖-Amirah

Loved playing office and school but my favorite childhood memory is my brother and I playing "radio station"

I used to make my own money. Mother was a teacher, so she always had copy paper around the house. I seemed to never have scissors handy, so I would put the paper on the TV, which back then was a huuuge box. Our TV was like a piece of furniture, so it had a ridge on the top. I'd use that ridge to score the paper into 8 perfect "bills" that I would label $1, 5,10, 20,50,100. Then, I'd make myself a paper wallet, and go around the house and buy everything. I'd pay for my meals- I had a great time. I was about 7,8,9,10 years old. so I get it! :)

We used to play restaurant, grocery store, house, and school. Sometimes even pretend travel with paper passports and our toys packed up in bags then we'd walk around the house pretending to go through airport security. But the most exciting was jumping from one couch to the next and avoiding the ground because it was supposed to be shark infested waters! Our imaginations made everything seem so REAL... (more then any 3D games that kids play now)

I use to always play judge. I am relatively short. And my dad had these kind of sort of huge laundry baskets. And I would wear my robe. And then bring my folder with my notepad and pen. Or I would play teacher or play office.
