I don't really mind bananas. The phrase comes from a long, incredibly odd conversation with my 2 best friends and my drama teacher in London, years ago. Where we decided, for no real reason, that Bananas were the devil's fruit. We then re-wrote the Latin chant from the film "The Omen" so that it was about evil bananas. In Latin. Because that's our sense of humour and we were bored. And then it became a private joke. We still start chanting in latin whenever we see a banana. Hence the username :)

Some of it's genuine latin. The words we don't know in latin, we just add "um" or "us" to the end. eg. "Bananum", "Fruitus Saladus", "Banana Splitum et ice creamum with chocolate sauceus." It's a fun game. And very easy.
Interesting. I can't say I really like the clips and song combined, but if you don't like the song, it follows that you wouldn't necessarily be able to channel its passion. That said, I can't really find it in me to dislike most things involving either Sherlock or this song.
It's a good idea - awesome song, good show - but this video just highlights the stark lack of diversity in the show. BBC Sherlock needs to step its' game up.
Mycroft is never confirmed as gay, Donovan is one person, and she's constantly belittled and cast as an antagonist to Sherlock and John, John's therapist is a background character at best, and Moriarty being Irish is about as diverse as white paper.
