I think it's because she doesn't really "whisper"...she talks softly, which makes for a more believable experience. She's the ONLY ASMR artist I watch, because no one does it better.
I don't tend to like soft spoken bc people's voices usually break between whisper/speaking to attain that sound and to me it's jarring not relaxing. Maria and a few others manage to softly speak without any loud breaks in their voices, which is so nice.

I've always appreciated how Maria asks permission before "touching" us, explains what she's doing, why she's doing it, and keeps checking to make sure that we're comfortable. It's a nice change from real life.
Maria seems to be an expert on every subject she talks about. Like, you’d think she spent her lifetime selling hats. I admire the time she takes and research she does to create well-made videos for us. I always learn new things from every video she puts out. ❤️

Ecbb they’re worn very often at church here in the south! although it’s mostly the older ladies who wear them.
Here in the UK, we were them to horse races, weddings and things like that.

I think this may be my first TH-cam comment ever. Usually just a lurker.
